Thanks to all of my friends who advised me about the best time to go to Rose & Crown. We had 7:30 reservations, waited about 20 minutes, finished a great meal at 8:55. We asked about dessert and our waitress escorted us outside to watch Illuminations and when we returned coffee and dessert was on our table. In the past, we really enjoyed the Illuminations cruise, but this was even better. Thanks again!!

We had 6:40 p.m. ressies at R&C and finished dinner at approx. 8:00 p.m. We then made our way to Canada to view Illuminations...it was THE best view!!! It was also closer to the exits.

The last time we ate at the Rose and Crown we just happened to be seated outside next to the railing (yep, front row seats for Illuminations). It was pretty miserable though when people from inside started crowding us around our table. My drink was spilled by a lady trying to get a better view and then while trying to clean herself off my steak hit the floor after falling on her clothes.

I'm so sorry that happened to you. The area we were escorted to wasn't around the outside tables. We were told to stand in an area near the railing. The tables were off to one side and behind us.

Why is it that people feel that they are not getting what they are deserved at the expense of others??

I am sorry that happened to you and am rather shocked that castmembers did not have a designated area for those eating in the restaurant, only inside, to come out and watch the fireworks with those lucky enough to have a front row seat......no one should stand in front of another to get a better look, but it happens all the time at WDW..sad, but true.

Hi Mackey,

We were escorted to a separate area and weren't standing directly in front of tables. The guests who were seated outside remained seated, however they were off to each side. Perhaps we were there on an unusual night because no one seemed to have a problem with it. It might have been a lighter than usual crowd.
