Perfect Classroom Grab Bag Gift

We found the perfect $5.00 gift for my DS and DD to take in for their class grab bags in Sears on Saturday. We actually bought 3 of them, so my kids could have it, too. For $4.99, they had Rudolph the Rednose Reindeer, the Island of Misfit Toys on DVD. We hit paydirt!

Then, we found a new dog collar for Puggles, who turns 8 today. DS was proud to be carrying this bag of goodies through the mall.

Then, he lost it.

UGH! We retraced all of our steps and couldn't find them. He was very upset about this. (Me too, as I thought this was a great gift.) He's usually more responsible than this.

I kept reminding him that we all make these kinds of stupid mistakes... they just help us to be more careful next time.

So, now I need 2 classroom gifts for a first and second grade boy, each costing $5, by Friday.

Any suggestions?

how about some of those small lego kits that build one thing? I think those are around 5.00

I am going to get a Bendo for my DS to bring for his grab. They are rubbery type figures that you can bend all different ways. They have all different types. Skiers, skaters, soccer players, dancers, police men, cheerleaders, etc. They are $4.95 at our local toy store.

My DS needs to bring a gift for a girl or boy, but if you just need a gift for a boy, what a pack of hot wheels cars? I think the 5 pack of cars if about $5.00.

I take it Sears is all out of the original idea? we only have a 2.00 gift exchange~which is very challenging~ I got one of those Bratz puzzles~ those little leggos sets are a big hit in my daughters class. Those Hot wheel cars sold in a set of 5. They had these remote controlled mini cars at Jcpenney for 4.99. Good luck

Yep, Sears was out when we went back. I thought they would be since there were so few when we bought ours.

You guys have alot of good ideas. I knew you would!

You've given me hope for finding something. I think my primary problem is that the first gift was just so good, IMO... and it was so disappointing to lose it.... I just couldn't come up with anything else.
