The 5-8 age range, in my opinion, is perfect for this trip. Young enoough to really be in awe of the characters and magic of disney and yet old enough to participate and enjoy the many activities offered.

My dd is almost seven and she was enthralled with everthing. Even though she knew there were just people inside the costumes she wanted to meet all of them. It was sooo much fun to stand back and watch.

My just 5 yo DS loved everything!!! DD was 3 & truly enjoyed herself but didn't care for the clubs too much. She still had a blast & was definantly in awe of Cinderella & the other characters. I am hoping that they both enjoy it as much in December. ::MickeyMo

Last year my 8 year old DD was old enough to be in the Oceaneer's Lab, but young enough to get VERY excited by seeing Cinderella. DS was 5 and liked everything. DD#1 was 11 and a little too cool for some things, but we still have a nice picture of her with Goofy (we call it Goofy squared).
This time we'll also have my 15 and 11 year old nieces. We'll see if the oldest one is "too cool" for anything, taking into account that the "disney gene" may have skipped that whole side of the family.

I love this thread! :teeth: On our last cruise with the kids, they were 3 1/2 and 8 months. Obviously the little one didnt get much out of it, excpet he loved the pool and our waiters. While the older one enjoyed the pool, he refused to go to the clubs and he was very difficult to deal with (this is why we went back alone, LOL!). However for our next cruise, they will be 5 & 8. Its great hear those ages are good for cruising.
