Pepper Market?

We are wanting to eat at Pepper Market 1 day for lunch during our vacation in a few days. We are thinking about going there when we go to AK. How far is Coronado Springs/Pepper Market from AK?

CSR is a very short bus ride from AK. It should take about 10 minutes from the time the bus leaves AK until you arrive at CSR. The bus circles the resort making 3 stops before it stops at El Centro where PM is located.

No offense, but why Pepper Market? Don't get me wrong, we have stayed at CSR and enjoyed the food there, but it isn't the type of place to go out of your way. Just commenting....enjoy if you do go.

The Pepper Market is a great place to eat if you are going there to check out the resort. That is what we did on our last trip in March, we had never visited the resort before so we thought we would go there for lunch...it turned out to be a really good meal (the Quesadillas are awesome) and we really enjoyed the grounds....so much that we are staying at CSR for our upcoming trip in December.

We enjoy the food and the atmosphere of both the PM and CSR. We find the portions are large enough to share, bringing the cost down some as we do not do the Dining Plan.

Even with the recent changes to the menu, the Pepper Market is a great value for counter service meals on the Dining Plan. Their entrees are still at the higher end, price-wise and, as I said, the portions are large enough to share.

When did the menu change? The menu seems the same as when we were there in June.

I agree with a PP, I don't think the food is good enough to go out of your way to get. It's good, but not great. It's a good deal on the DDP but very pricey otherwise.

For 1 QS count on the DDP its a GREAT DEAL!

Just got back from CSR and ate at the PM 3 times 2 for BF and 1 L, the lunch was just too much food, had a good server all 3 times, I did not run into the rude CM's that I have heard about, unlike other places we ate at duing our stay...If you want to check out the resort and this is your down day, sure why not, we liked it!!

I'm disappointed with the new vs. the old menu. Some of the old favorites I was expecting to enjoy next month are gone... and everything else that interests me but is much further down my priority list is about $5 more expensive. Not a budget breaker, but I probably will eat fewer lunches at "home" than I would have with the old menu.

Going to miss those buffalo wings!

We ate there for the first time last month based upon some positive reports that we read here on the DIS. Little did we know that the PM was transformed due to "free" dining. The Chinese station was removed and most of the better items on the menu were removed, like the rib eye.

We had the only steak left on the grill menu and it was a little smaller than a hamburger patty, over cooked and not something that I would go back for. The grilled veg that came with it was some kind of squash that was mushy. The sign board listed mushrooms as a side but we were told that they didn't have any. The most noticeable issue was that the Cast Members acted that they hated their jobs and just didn't care. Upon our return home we found out that PM is not a Disney run restaurant.

Now I know I am getting old. I would have sworn to you that it was July/August that I first heard about this. Turns out it was June and I am just old and stringing my days together. sigh

When we were staying at CSR, we took the bus back from AK, had to wait 30 minutes for the bus, then the bus stopped at Blizzard Beach on the way back and we sat there for an additional 5 - 10 mins. So allow yourselves plenty of time if you are feeling hungry.
