We will be staying at CSR for the first time this June, and this may be a stupid question and in the wrong place to boot...but is the Pepper Market a food court or some form of a TS? Do they just seat you?.. I thought I read somewhere that a wait staff member gets drinks? Do they bring the food or just the drinks? Do they refill drinks, or can I do this on my own? ...And what amount do you tip if they bring just the drinks? I'm embarased to admit this, but I'm kinda confused about how to work the Pepper Market!:confused3

Peppermarket is a food court. They do seat you , you get cloth napkins and real flatware and the person who seats you will bring your drinks. If you have refillable mugs then you can refill them your self at a self serve drink fountain. No need to worry about the tip it is automatically added to your final bill when you check out (10%). You will be given a card that you get stamped where ever you order food and check out after you have completed your meal.

Can you get "take out" from the Pepper Market? Order and take food back to your room to eat?

Thanks!

To add a little to this... Once seated you can go to any of a dozen food stations for your meal; Italian, Mexican, Chinese, Salads, Burgers, Steak, Chicken... you order from the cook who stamps your receipt with what you ordered, wait while your meal is prepared, then return to your seat with your order. The wait staff will continue to serve drinks and help with your needs ie: spices, ketchup, mayo, mustard, extra napkins... Once finished simply head to the register at the exit and the CM will ring up your order based on the stamps on your receipt, simple!

Oh and by the way, for my money the food is VERY good! The prime rib is the best at WDW!:thumbsup2

also, the servers get your refills for you.

THANK YOU EVERYONE! Makes sense now... and I love that Buzz has a picture of the order card/receipt! :cool1: Too cool!

Do you think it is worth adding the extra 10% to have someone seat you? I know they don't do this at other food courts. Just wondering...especially since we are now responsible for tipping on the dining plan too.

Worth it, no, not really, but since it is CS you do not pay the tip OOP if on DDP.

Oh, ok! So, that's just if you pick up something on your own and pay for it OOP. It's included already if you're on the dining plan? Thanks!

They seat you, get your drinks, get you refills, bus your table, bring you condiments if you request them and will bring you coffee. Well worth it in my opinion. CM Debbie was one of my servers on last week's trip and she was great!

So my Mom & 2 sisters & their kids (WDW newbies all) will be staying at CSR in April (while DH, DS & I are at the Poly!) And I don't quite know how to explain Pepper Market to them, since I've never been there.

They will have the DDP, so PM counts as quick service meal, right? And what about the tip when on DDP? They know to expect to pay tips at TS locations, will they need to pay the tip at PM too? :confused3
So confused. Not that that is anything unusual! :rolleyes1

We ate breakfast a couple of times at the Pepper Market. It was very helpful that they gave you a map of where the different food stations were, especially at breakfast since the signs were for other times of day.

Awesome. Thank you Buzz! :worship:

I'll be sending my younger sister the link to this thread, as she is the one heading up their groups' plan. I just add input or advice when she asks. :thumbsup2
