Pepper Market menu: has it shrunk?

I haven't checked menus on Allears for ages but I just saw Pepper Market was updated fairly recently so I clicked on it. Is it my imagination or has it got smaller (the list of choices)? Or is it just that Allears has an incomplete menu posted?

I know that Pepper Market just had a major menu overhaul earlier this year. I can't guarantee that allears is 100% correct, but it could very well be.

Yes, it has gotten much smaller. I was there last September and the Chinese section was completely close. There were three specials (Mexican, Italian and Chinese) and you got them at the Mexican section. There was pizza available and soup. Plus, the grill section. I was really disappointed:confused3

Thanks. Wasn't sure if my memory was fuzzy as we didn't go there last year. It is the Mexican items where I noticed some omissions :sad2: Never mind, it's good to know. I am not one to go to a resort just for a CS meal but thought we might stop one night/day on our way from AK. Hopefully Epcot's new Mexican restauran/s will be open on schedule so we can get our fix in October. Failing that, Siestas has nachos on the menu, but I never know if you can just go there if you don't stay at the resort (this is based on all the pool hopping debates  - this is not an invitation to start one ).

I really liked PM the first time I went. Its not so great anymore :confused3. Last Sept., we ended up just picking up lunch at the pool snack bar.

That is Siestas, isn't it? Did you stay at CSR or just pop in to get lunch there?

The person that updates these for WDW Info goes to each location and gets a menu. There are dates on each menu when it was updated.

We stayed at CSR last summer and the PM really was a disappointment from our previous visit a few years ago. The service was very slow and many food items were no longer on the menu...of course all of the food items we really liked are gone!

All online sources are strictly unofficial, it's part of the reason that I originally cautioned to not trust the allears.net menu.

I know that the Ribeye Steak was removed late last year, and am shocked to see it back. Even more shocked because we heard first hand accounts from posters that it was definitely gone, and I haven't heard so much as a whisper that it's back.

We know every time 'Ohana switches from noodles to potatoes, so I'd be surprised if we hadn't heard about the Ribeye (versus the charbroiled steak that it was replaced with last year)

Obviously one menu is correct, and the other is pretty far off the mark. Whichever is more correct, it's a great example why people shouldn't trust online menu sources. :lmao:

Tricia, I did not make it to the PM last year because it was a short trip. I will, however, make it a point to go this September and get pictures of the menu if nothing else. I know that the ribeye sandwich is NOT on the menu. From another source (which I prefer not to reveal), the allears menu seems to be the closest to what is currently available at the PM. The menu has decreased quite a bit (they used to have a fettucine alfredo that I LOVED). Rumor, and it is RUMOR, continues to go around that the PM will eventually become a buffet restaurant (which would not surprise me now that Maya Grill no longer has a buffet breakfast. I'm sorry I can't be more helpful than this, but if so desired, I will post a menu when I'm there in September.

I just ate over there in May. I will head back over this week to get any updates or changes. You could update it one week and they could change it the next.

Thanks for pointing out that there might be changes.

Thanks,Teresa. I will watch for your post when you return so that I can update the "unoffficial CSR thread."

I, too, am interested in knowing what the menu at The Pepper Market really is. We have been twice and it's our favorite "counter service" restaurant. We think it's quite the bargain on the DDP! We are planning to go to PM on the first night of our August trip, before heading over to DHS for Fantasmic. If the menu really has been drastically reduced, we might just stay and eat at POP before heading over for Fantasmic. Thanks in advance!

We stayed at CSR. I think it would be torture for us to walk over to the pool in the middle of a hot day, grab a quick lunch and not get in that very nice pool :goodvibes. Siestas is nice, but not nice enough to go there if I couldn't swim in the pool.

This is just my opinion, but with the reduced menu, I don't think it would be worth it to leave the POP food court and go over there.

Thank you so much for that link :thumbsup2 Now that looks pretty much like the menu I remember. Now which one is most accurate? :rotfl2: I guess if we go, it is the usual rule: go with an open mind, give it a shot and make a memory from the experience.

Thanks all. :goodvibes

We ate there in late February and the All Ears menu is most correct from my experience. The night we ate there, we had originally planned to eat TS in DHS but canceled for various reasons. So when we headed over to PM to eat for the evening, we spent a good 15 minutes just walking around and looking at the menu for each station before we ordered. The offerings were no where close to those listed on the Dis link.
