This is a buffet now and is only a QS credit? Can someone confirm and review please? Thanks!

It was supposed to be a trial through January 4. Haven't seen any reports that it's still going on.

We were there over Christmas and enjoyed the bufffett. We had loaded mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, cucumber salad and a meat, it was really good. They had all the pod stations open so you could get sandwiches, mexican, meat and veggies, salads. My kids had the chicken quesidilla which they liked.

The buffet price included the buffet and the pods?

Wow! My spelling last night was pretty bad (lol). I don't know what was going on there. The buffet was not your typical buffet where everything was in a line for the helping. It had all the pods (stations) open with certain items at each one. The mexican station had the chicken quesadilla and other items. Then one other had meats and veggies. They also had sandwiches, pizza, salads and desserts. You could go to any stations as many times as you liked. Hope that helps.

Thank you. That does help. It sounds like they are offering a few less items, eliminated ala carte pricing, and added all you can eat. I do like the pod setup.

If you have the Dining Plan and can use the buffet as a Quick Service option, then yes it is worth it. If you are just paying out of pocket for it, I'm going to vote a "no" on it. We were just there Christmas week and were so excited to find out about it and try it... let me preface this by saying we are not picky eaters at all.... we eat, and typically enjoy, most anything.

This buffet really, really lacked in quality. I was most excited about having mexican food there (since it is Coronado Springs and all)... that was the biggest disappointment! I did have a slice of the chicken quesadillas and they were okay (it was just chicken and cheese on a toasted tortilla, how can you go wrong) and was hoping for enchiladas - which there was a sign for, but no enchiladas to be found (oh, and I was currently standing there waiting for the quesadillas to get done at the time)... when the ques. were finally done I asked about the enchiladas and got, "oh those come from the kitchen" answer. So, it left me wondering... are any more coming out?? It was only 1:00 p.m. :confused3 Anyway, I kept my eyes peeled for anything to be delivered to that area, and 30 mins later I saw movement in that area and popped out of my seat to investigate. Well, they were there, but they were burnt on the top and dried out and they poured what looked like a little bit of tomato sauce on the top of them and sprinkled on some cheese (which had also been "charred"). I tried one anyway... it really was tomato sauce on top! Wow... awful!

I also tried the fish of the day - it was okay - and some rice (also okay) and some mashed potatoes (a mountain of them when I asked for only a tiny bit)... again just okay (and I love mashed potatoes).

I tried the Panini of the day - it was Italian - and tasted pretty good, but had been sitting there a long time. I was thinking of having a slice of pizza, but there wasn't any to have. They did have spaghetti with marinara sauce - I didn't try it - wasn't interested. I peeked at the salad bar - it was small (again, not interested, just wanted to see what they had).

I only had 1 dessert and it was a white cake with strawberries - I thought it was very good :) My husband probably sampled all the rest of the desserts trying to find something he liked... it didn't happen. He tried a cake with oreos on it and it was all dried out... then he tried what looked like a chocolate fudge cake and that was all dried out... then he tried the bread pudding and it was spongy and not moist (yep, basically dried out). He ended up eating vanilla ice cream and was okay with that. Oh, yeah, I also had a cookie with M&Ms in it - it was like a sugar cookie with the candies pushed into the top... it was good, moist and chewy - I liked it.

We were big fans of the food at Pepper Market before, so we were super excited to eat at this buffet... the quality just wasn't there and having to wait around for food to arrive and empty stations... kind of made me mad. We left full, but knew that we weren't interested in ever returning if they continue with the buffet. It is worth the Quick Service credit - definitely - but not for paying cash... there are better places to spend your money on property.
