Pepper Market and DDP

I apologize if this has already been asked; the search function does not seem to be working at the moment.

At any rate, I understand that Pepper Market is a partial service food court. How does this work with the DDP, particularly as it relates to tipping, as I have heard conflicting information? I have heard that the appropriate tip is 10%, However I have also heard that because it's considered a CS credit on the DDP that the gratuity is included, though TS gratuities are no longer included on the DDP.

Just want to make sure I am prepared to handle it appropriately, as we'll be eating breakfast there pretty much every morning.

IDK about DDP, but last time we were paying cash, and our server told us that the no tip was necessary, it is included in the cost of the food. All the Server does is refill your beverage.

We went to PM for all of our CS meals and we were not charged the 10% extra on the bill, but the lady at the register told us everyday we were expected to leave a cash tip on the table. That confused us because our server would have no idea whether we were on the dining plan or not, and non-ddp people would not be leaving tips..?
I think the lady at the register was wrong, but I really don't know.
