I am wondering if those that rec' codes get them more often because you have a Disney Visa? Is this true. I have never rec' one and am feeling rather left out :( We have gone quite a bit and even after our last trip we had some MAJOR problems which resulting in us talking to headquarters and still no credit, codes or anything.

We want to go the end of April and I see other have FREE dining codes.. How do I get codes!!

No, Visa has nothing to do with it or we would get PIN codes. Our son has been getting them since he was 18 and changed his address to his Dorm, hahahaha and he does not have a Disney Visa

There's no rhyme or reason. If you're in their system, you're eligible to get a pin code.

Seeing people getting codes on this board is misleading. The DISboards are a very few percentage of actual Disney patrons.

I don't know anyone who has free dining for April. The most recent PIN code (now expired) only had free dining through March 5.

My SIL got a code for April.. that is why they are going again after just going in Sept..

It kills me to be left out..

My sister went with us last year for their first trip and they get all sorts of communications from WDW and I made all the booking, have gone 8 times, have a terminally ill wheelchair bound child and NEVER catch a break... I feel soooo sad!

She can book up to 3 rooms with her PIN, so if you can go with her, she can book your room for you. I would love to know the details of her PIN. The room discount portion of the recent PIN ran until Sept. The FD portion only went until March 5. If you can share the details, it would be greatly appreciated.

Please do tell us some details on this PIN! When did she get it? And what were the free dining dates?

And I usually get PIN codes every time they are offered. No Disney VISA for me. I just registered for an account on Disney World's website years ago and have been getting PIN's ever since.

I would love to know too!
I have a Disney Visa and I don't get PIN codes but for some reason my husband gets them at his work email????

The last PIN we got had a double offer. You could either book a room discount for dates all the way into September or you could book Free dining but it was only valid for dates up thru 3/5. The PIN had to be used on or before February 15th.

If there is another one out there we would LOVE to know:goodvibes

Nope, nothing to do with Disney Visa. My parents, DH and I all have the Disney Visa and are annual pass holders, DH and I are also DVC members (who also stay non-DVC when our points (often) run out) and none of us have ever gotten codes. :(

I have a Disney Visa and don't get codes. My 15 year old son has been getting codes for a year now on his email.

I think that anything that puts your name on Disney's radar probably can't hurt.

My brother in law has no account with Disney but did get a PIN in the snail mail last year, he does have an ESPN account, that is the only thing we can figure might have gotten him the PIN

Yep, ESPN, any of the Disney online games (like Pixie Hollow when it was around), Disney Movie Rewards, etc...any of them will get you in the system. Pretty much any Disney owned site that you can log in to. :goodvibes

DD was trying to plan a trip for herself and friends. She kept looking at booking Music. She did this twice once in the fall and once in January. After the time in January DH and DS 22 both got the pin in the mail. Both cards said we see you are interested in As Music.

What is interesting is that others received the pin earlier. It was sad because although it was from her research she could not use it.

And that is why Disney won't send you a pin. Pins aren't rewards to people that visit DW often. They're to make people who haven't been in a while or who have never been, go. They're trying to make money, remember?

Well, if that were really true, they wouldn't send PINS to people who already have a package booked, for the exact same dates that they're traveling! That happened to me last year. Already booked a trip for August and THEN got the free dining PIN.

While in theory that makes sense, there seem to be plenty of people on the boards who visit frequently and often get pin numbers.

Not at all true. We get multiple PINs a year, have always been already booked, and have been able to use the PINs sent. This has happened for several years in a row. PINs appear to be completely random. Maybe there is some highly advance method as to why some get them, but I doubt it.
