People Who Actually Like FP+ and MBs

You know when mom2rtk shows up in a FP+/MB thread it's about to head south.

Why thank you so much.

For the record I've been reading this thread from the first page. I had no intention of posting, as it's a thread of supporters. Believe it or not, I'm interested in reading a cross section of opinions.

I didn't post until the word "ride monger" was introduced. Surely there are even a few supporters who found that to be a bit over the top.

Ride monger? Doesn't that mean ride seller? Is that an epithet? I don't even know how it makes sense, so don't see how it's offensive.

I've been following this thread to help me stay positive about our upcoming spring break trip.

FP+ will be a huge improvement over FP- for us. But admittedly just from what we've read/heard. Can't wait to try it.:woohoo:

It was used in a derogatory manner to indicate that people who.ride.things more than once were somehow not playing by Disney's rules, or taking away from others' experiences.

That type of response wasn't necessary for a thread that was about positive mm+ feedback.

Eta: just as a side.point, if.Disney didn't want people riding rides more than once, then why build rides like buzz and toy story? The interactive/competition element there is pretty much intended to make guests want to ride again and again...

The point is that he used hyperbole in the first place. Just an example of how people on all sides use hyperbole but some people only take issue with it if is used by people who disagree with them.

The very term "ride rationing" is a hyperbole in and of itself and it is used in relation to actual facts of the whole FP+ system.

Ironic

If the poster themselves comes back in their very next post to say "sorry, I exaggerated", then no, there is no reason to "call them out" on what they said.

It was already corrected, move on.

Regarding rationing, the definition is the controlled distribution of scarce resources, goods, or services. Rationing controls the size of the ration, one's allotted portion of the resources being distributed on a particular day or at a particular time.

Sounds exactly like what Disney is doing.

Now out of respect for the OP's wishes to keep this thread positive, I will bow out.

I've been following this thread as well and was actually starting to be encouraged that some people found benefit in the changes even if they did qualify those opinions in many cases with "but........"

And so, I'll let the irony of the positive crowd throwing the negative stones speak for itself.

What we would like about spring break and FP+ is, the obvious "break" from winter. Translates for us to pool, golf, fishing, beach and sun time. And certainly some now well planned park time, especially evenings being our favorite. 4PM gives us a good 8 plus hours each day at the parks, minus some dining here and there unless EPCOT.

No wondering if we will get any FP- at all by the time we go into a park late afternoon-they will be just waiting for us.

If someone really wanted to get more headliners in, just do RD-then take your break with FP+ set for another park later on.
