Well today I went to the beach today while babysitting a 18mon girl. I was playing with her in the water and as you all know alot of the words at that age sound the same. Her mom and bro were sitting on the beach. She was pointing and mumbling at the beach and was as happy as can be in the water, someone walks by and says laughing "Looks like thats a signal she wants out" I understand it was a joke but I have been babysitting this girl for over a year and know when she isnt happy..-vent over-

I think that you are over reacting. Sounds like a friendly stranger to me making a friendly comment.

Sorry, I just have to say that I'm real jealous that you were at the beach in the water. OK my vent is over! :teeth:

Lol.. I guess I was overeacting alittle but it just made me a little mad..Ofcourse after chasing after 2 twins I wasnt in the best friendlist mood

I don't really think anything was meant by it. I just wanna know where you are that you can go to the beach!! I am very jealous!!!!!!

I dont' think she meant it as rude, but it does get annoying though. And, can I come to where you are in Hawaii, so I can be on the beach in Jan? ;)

It was just a casual remark - no need to take it seriously.

Better than that person assuming you were the baby's mom. Last year in Hilo at Ken's House of Pancakes a few people asked my dd if she was my son's mommy. Yikes...then again there are a lot of very young teen moms there - including some of my cousins. :faint:

You aren't overrreacting. My observations are that the tourists that visit here are becoming noticeably pushier and less well mannered. :teeth: Hey, at least you weren't run down by a shopping cart at the local grocers. :scared1:
