People Mover -OR- Skyway return?

personally I would prefer the skyway, but that will never happen, as for the people mover, they need to bring it back or take down the track one or the other.

I'm too young to remember either of those, haha...don't hurt me.

I would say the people mover because I've heard alot about it and it sounds interesting.

Peoplemover! EVERYBODY, including the county fair, has a skyway. It's just not as unique as peoplemover.

I completely agree. :thumbsup2

I have nothing against the Peoplemover, but it really didn't do very much. At least the Skyway actually took you somewhere, instead of just in a loop. Plus, going through the Matterhorn was cool. :cool2:

You won't see any ride at DL that will allow people in open carriages above unprotected people below. You can't even open the Monorail windows any more for that reason. The only way you might see the people mover again is if they are fully enclosed carriages

umm.... the monorail windows open... at least they did 2 weeks ago

PeopleMover vote here--I miss it. And, yes, the monorail windows do indeed open--they're just impossible to move for the guests, but I've seen them open and closed. The skyway would have one benifit to me, and that's getting from one side of the park to the other during parade times, but sky bucket type rides freak me out--I don't like dangling that high suspended only by a cable (and this coming from a person who likes the moving cars on the SunWheel).

People mover! I don't like my feet and legs dangling that high off the ground! LOL

We had windows open on the monorail, but a CM stopped someone from trying to open another window. So I guess they just want control over them, these days?

People mover! The one at WDW is so fun and relaxing. We rode it like 5 times.

Another vote for the People Mover.I sure miss that 15min break.

people movers!

i remember the skyway from when i was really little..people would spit down from them (i almost got spit on once!) and rides hanging from wires creep me out:guilty:

People Mover for sure. It just adds more movement to Tomorrowland and it has a much larger rider capacity (so shorter waits).

According to a tour guide that we had at Disneyland a couple of weeks ago, the People Mover is coming back. Not in Rocket Rod incarnation. With a few changes.
And the Skyway will never come back as the pylons did not meet earth quake standards.

The People Mover is tentatively planning to return, in some form, by 2010/2011... or soon after. Nothing confirmed yet, but the attraction-use of the People Mover/Rocket Rods beam is close to the top of Tony Baxters Disneyland To Do... list.

The Skyway will most likely never return... for many reasons.
One of which is Disneyland really doesn't want to cut the holes into in Matterhorn Mountain again.

My vote is for the People Mover, I just love that ride...I'm sad it isn't up right now, but at least Mr. Toad's Wild Ride hasn't been altered---it was one of my favorite childhood rides at WDW, so I'm going to relish the memories when I ride it at DLR!!!
