I put mine in my carry-on bag because I am not comfortable putting cash (or coins) in my checked luggage. If you do this, be prepared for two things. 1) All of those coins are really heavy. 2) TSA screeners will ask you what are in them (and may ask to hand search your bag), because they show up as oddly shaped metal objects in the x-ray of the bag. I just told them they were rolls of coins for laundry and pressed pennies at WDW, and had no problems.

All money and valuables should always go in the carry on. Could very well get stolen otherwise.

Thank you! That's what I thought but didn't know if I should carry all those coins around. I guess I have no choice.
