Hi all. First post on the restaurant board!

DH and I are penguin NUTS. No, this thread is not about serving penguin at WDW. :lmao:

I was wondering if the penguins from Mary Poppins were at 1900 PF. I know Mary Poppins is... but are there penguins? DH now is sold on this restaurant, on the condition that there are penguins. We are insane, but in a good way :goodvibes

TIA!

1) The only penguins of which I know are
. . . at Sea World
. . . at zoos
. . . in aquariums
. . . in the wild
2) And, of course, Pittsburgh, on ice and carrying sticks.
3) None at Disney.

My daughter is crazy for penguins, too!

There are no penguins at any of the restaurants... BUT, I had read on here that sometimes Mary Poppins is with a penguin or two in DHS in the animation building between 5:00-6:00 - supposedly a lot of characters come out then, many you normally wouldn't see.

So... last trip in August... went there just after 5:00 - and woohoo, there was MP with a penguin! :cool1: So... would say give it a shot and try looking for them there!

here is also a character locater link:

I have seen Mary Poppins and Mr. Penguin on Main Street occasionally as well. I had my photo taken with them last December for my mom, who is also a penguin fan.

BTW, if you're a penguin fan, check out the Club Penguin plush either on the Disney shopping site, or in the park shops. They have some really cute ones.

When I saw the title of the thread, I was hoping that the OP wasn't going to ask if any WDW restaurants serve penguin. :eek:

<breathing a sigh of relief>

Hahaha! Nope, not eating penguins. I have a picture of me and a penguin from Mary Poppins from about 5 years ago, so I thought 1900 PF might be a good place to find them. Oh well!

DH and I are penguin fanatics, too!! We actually dove off of the train at MK to get to a couple of the Mary Poppin penguins that were out for pictures and autographs once. :rolleyes1

In fact, if you want to see pictures from that, they're in the first post of our dining review (there's a link in my signature below!).

Yay penguins!! :yay::cheer2:

It was on the ramp behind Toon Town near the train station. I think the poor CM - I mean, penguin - must have thought we were nuts at first the way we came running at them yelling about penguins. But they were awesome and danced and posed with us and were great. Good times... good times... :wizard:

No penguins at 1900 buuuuuut I did catch one at the animation building at the studios.

Mary Poppins and Bert opened MK last Jan 8 and had at least one penquin with them. They walked all around the City Hall area for about 20 minutes. I am a huge penguin fan too. Must have 100 stuffed penguins(57 yo male) and a penguin totem. We were getting ready to take KTTK so I didn't get a photo op.:sad1:
