My did make it out this morning. Expected arrival is Wed.

Thank you ladies for all the hugs and good thoughts! So far no change, they are transferring him to Wake Med for some surgery...so it's just a wait and see at this point...

Someone succeeded in the request for cooler weather! It only reached 95 today...Expected high tomorrow....86!

Received my letter and "twist" from Bridgette. It has been so nice to be your pen pal.

My "twists" included Word search puzzle book, some pens and some Tasty Cakes (little cakes covered with peanut butter and chocolate)

Thanks you for it all: i like that the puzzle book is "large print"; that makes it so much easier to see the letters

Yesterday I received Patsy's letter and "twist": lovely pineapple soap sheets. (Nice smell and I like pineapple). To bad she did not send me a "whole pineapple"

Thank you sooo much Monica for the soooo useful Starbucks gift card! You know me too well. I will use it tomorrow as S, and I will head into town. The last time, we tried the new chocolate chip frappacino, and it was yummy, so will get another one of those.

I had never sent a whole pineapple, but yes I would think the shipping would be really high since they would have to ship it extra carefully.

I love fresh pineapple. When we went to Hawaii, we bought a coconut and ate it while we traveled around Oahu. The next day we got a pineapple. By the time we got to the mangoes, we were both spending lots of time in the bathroom. The clerk at the hotel had a very hard time keeping a straight face while telling why we were having "that problem".

But, it all tasted so good.

I think so. Plus, we were eating them in place of lunches and lots more fruit than we normally ate. But....they were all so good
