I just got a surgery date for Dec 22nd (the say after we get back from WDW) for a pelvic laparoscopy. My GYN is planning on removing a cystic mass and checking for endometriosis as well as other possible sources of my pain. I was just wondering from other peoples experiences what to expect with this surgery.

I've had two of these surgeries now and have not had any problems. They will tell you to lay down flat as much as you can the first 24 hours or so until the gas they inflate you with dissipates. If you get up too much it will cause your shoulders to hurt and it really does hurt. That was the only problem I had from it and the second go round I knew better so I didn't have the problem.

If you search the forums you will find lots of information. I'm sure you could bump one up if you needed to.

tried that. Search isn't working for me (hasnt been for a little while now)

I had one done in the 1990's, not sure how much has changed. I dont remember being filled with air. For me I dont do well with anathesia, but when I got home and did not feel sick, I was sore for a few days but nothing major. Hope all goes well. I had endometriosis. I went home the same day. Jo
