ok, my friend wants her bely button peirced but her parents wont let her get it done, so she wants me to do it for her. We were reading about it online and it said that if you do it your self or if it isnt done correctly she could die. can you really die from it. and if you have any tips on how to do it please tell me. thanks!

Hmm. . .a tip. Don't do it. Did her parents not say that they don't want her to get it done. So basically, she is asking you to go against what her parents say and do it for her. But hey, do what you like. Make the wrong choice.
To answer your dying question, I would say if you peirced it with an ice pick, there would be a good chance.

Sounds like a reeaaallllyyyy bad idea. Don't try it. Not only will she get in trouble, but it will fall back on you if something happens medically.

There is alot girls who have them at my school but they want them right now but how about in 20 years. she has worn them for a couple of years the hole dosen't close and its just there. My chem teatcher got her when she was young and now she hates it. She was telling us when she was having a baby, when her belly was getting bigger so did the hole and also she said it hurt. I don't have oone for that reason and also my tongue. i don't know how people can have that. I only peirce my ears and that all.
You should try to talk her out of it and ask her if she would want it in 2o years.

A girl at my school did that and she got really sick from infection... if she gets sick you will most likely be the one the parent's will blame... simply tell your friend you've talked to people who have horror stories about do it yourself piercings and it sounds brutal. Which isn't a lie. Watch the new parent trap (w/ Lindsay lohan) with her at the part where she pierces her ears by herself and say it's gonna be like that when she pierces it by herself, only a hundred times worse. If she still wants it done by you... back out! tell her you won't let her do it becuse it could jeoperdize her health.

me and my friend went to get them done, but once my friend got hers, she fainted it hurt so much and now she really regrets doing it. it's been infected like 3 times...needless to say i didn't get mine done. i'm fine with just my ears!!

i think that sounds like a horrible plan. i wouldn't trust my friend to pierce my ear let alone something like my belly button...i think if her parents don't let her get it done right, you shouldn't do it incorrectly. if something happens both of you will be in HUGE trouble...not to mention she could get really sick!

I'm sure death is possible if she gets a really bad infection. It's probably rare, but still possible. Don't do it. She should just wait until she's 18 when she can get it done professionally without her parent's permission. Think about it this way...even when a piercing is done professionally, there is a risk of infection. So the odds of infection are even higher if you do it at home. And if that happens, her parents will find out and you'll both get in trouble. Do you want to be held responsible for screwing up your friend's body?

A girl and her twin sister did theirs all by themelves. One of them had the skin grow over the piercing and get infected really bad. They took her to the hospital and the had to cut a huge chunk of skin out of her belly button so it is all lopsided and ugly now. Thats one girl that wears long t-shirts all the time. Her sister took hers out and let it grow back into normal.

Don't do it one of my friends had her other friend do it for her and it got really infected It was really bad. One of my other friends just had it done by her doctor and it looks really good and so far it hasn't gotten infected so if your friend waits long enough her parents might let her get it done tell her to wait.

I used to do all my own piercings ( I used to have 8) and I would strongly advise not doing it because if I knew then what I know now, I would have never done them myself. So really don't take the risk.

well, after what we had read and what i had been saying that i didnt want her to do it and didnt want her to get hurt. she didnt by herself. but after the needle went through she took it out too soon and couldnt get the ring in, so now there is a cut on her stomach.
