Ok, the 75% sales are almost over on the Easter candy. Bought a couple of boxes of Peeps. What is your favorite use/recipe for the little buggers? I like to heat them in the microwave for about 15 seconds, until they blow up to about triple size. They are so soft and squishy....Yummmm.:goodvibes

Mine are just about ready...I open them up and leave then until they are stale...YUMMY!!!

My dog likes them right out of the box:eek: She "stole" them from my son's basket while we were out. That is the only thing that she took. She wasn't feeling too well later that day.

I had a group in for Easter dinner one year and I decorated the table with the bunny peeps. I think I also did this for my friend's birthday brunch the week or so before Easter.

I take marshmallow peeps and break cadbury eggs on top of them.

Don't know if you snatched any of those up on sale though!

I haven't tried them before but I noticed they were on sale at Sam's Club... It looked like 8-10 boxes for $1.90. Maybe I should give them a try :p

if roasting Peeps, be sure to THOROUGHLY cool them before trying to remove a carmelized peep from the roasting stick.

We just finished last years clearance peeps last week.
(if they get 'dryed out' they become just like cereal marshmallows!) My kids think they are better this way! :o

Yes, I have heard of letting them get stale, but does it really take a whole year? Kinda like aging a bottle of wine. Where do you keep them so you won't forget they are there????? I wonder if you put them into a really low temp oven, would they dry out quicker? (kinda like making meringues?)

I wouldn't eat a Peep if it were the last "food" on Earth. I think we should just let them harden and then send them to Iraq to use as projectile weapons.:p

I agree completely! However, my husband was a member of a fraternity that called themselves "Peeps," and I can't help giggling everytime I see the marshmallow things referenced. So, I guess my "favorite use" for a Peep is marry it! ;)
