If you check out the regular candy aisles, you just might find halloween candy mixed in. Today I was able to find tootsie rolls, starburst fun size, kit kat, baby ruth, 100 grand, almond joy, spree, lifesavers suckers, and many more for only .19 or .20 a bag!!! I bought all I could find at the 2 stores near me. I was thinking of making up treat bags closer to the holidays and dropping them off at a homeless shelter.

I thought I did good, I got the ghiardelli chocolate filled squres for 74 cents a bag. They will be great in he Christmas baskets.

Has anyone tried roasting peeps?? You know, like you do with marshmallows. Be careful and let them cool a bit, or the sugar will burn your tongue - but they can't be beat this way!! If you really want a treat, try putting them in smores in place of the marshmallow!!! Yummy!!!!!!

I thought my family was the only one that made Peep s'mores!
One time we were going camping and had forgotten to buy marshmallows, but we had leftover Peeps in the cupboard, so we took those along and voila! Peep s'mores! Yum.

I LOVE Peeps as much for decorating as for eating (especially when they get a bit stiff--yum!).

You can join the Peeps Fan Club at their website (I think it is just peeps.com) and you get an awesome purple baseball hat with a beautiful embroidered Peep on it (quite the conversation starter, I must say!), a nice tee shirt, newsletters, magnet, postcard on your birthday, etc. About $20 I think.

If you will be in WDW next week, look for my hat or shirt--I'm packing them!

I've never roasted peeps, but it's lots of fun to put them in the microwave and watch them grow into GIANT little chicks and bunnies etc. Just don't try to eat them right away, they get really hot. Also they shrink as soon as you stop nuking them.

My favorite way to eat them is to poke a hole in the package and let them set for a couple days-or-weeks and get real chewy. Peep-Jerky

how could we get Peeps to make green mickeys?

I am so amazed how often one can buy peeps, Valentine's Day, Easter, July 4th, Halloween & Christmas.

Have to try our local grocery store & stock up on the peeps for s'more's.
