Peeps idea...

Okay ya'll, the whole Peeps thing has really rubbed off on me, and now I've been searching around town for Peeps at the after Easter sales. I found the Peeps stickers earlier this week at Wal Mart, and that was the start. Since reading about Patty T's and Maggie's love of Peeps, I starting looking around for more ideas. Well, this morning on twopeasinabucket someone posted about making a stamp out of one of the Peeps itself. Oh my! What a great idea I thought! So of course I headed back out to Wal Mart early this morning and bought the bunny Peeps for just that purpose. I'm not sure if I can use the chickie Peeps for making a stamp, but I'm willing to give it a try. So for 23 cents I got a large package of Peeps (bunnies), and I'm going to stamp on a piece of heavy plastic or foam or whatever works, and hopefully I will have my own Peeps bunny stamper.

I also got a couple of Peeps plastic tablecloths and the Peeps tissue paper for around 40 cents. Also got a couple of the Peeps gift bags with a card cutout of a Peeps chick that sits on a foam pop up square. I'm not sure how I'm going to use all of it, but I think it's going to be fun!

Anyway, I just wanted to let ya'll know about the stamper idea before you gobble up all those bunnies and chicks!

hmmmm, you made me hungry reading this! of course, that wasn't your intention i actually didn't buy any peeps this year, but now I wish I had! though I don't know if i would have had to restraint to stamp with it and not eat it-- that sounds like a cute idea though! how did it work? and peeps tissue paper! you are a dangerous walmart shopper- now I want to go check that out as well as the wire! unfortunately (or maybe it's fortunately), i know from past experience that my friendly neighbor walmart hardly ever has any post-holiday goods on sale...last i checked they just had multi-colored easter grass and i certainly don't need that!

OK - I'll confess. All this Peeps talk has had me rolling on the floor! Two years ago I was in the Disney store the day after Easter & got some Pooh ones marked down. DS wasn't married yet & he loves them!

DS & DD spent days blowing them up in the microwave....but the funniest thing was that they dubbed them "Poops" - as in Pooh Peeps. Whoever said you had to grow up?!?!?!

that is too funny! my walmart had nothing... (and I so appologise for not posting yesterday that I did get the package you sent me, thanks so much! ) I just crammed a bunch of peeps into a box for patty t, might have to go did them out now.... maggie

I think the funiest part is that Maggie doesn't even like Peeps!
It all started because her DD had never had them so of course I HAD to send her some for easter cuz I LOVE them

no the funniest part is that kate still doesn't like them! or maybe the funniest part is that patty t is now getting all kinds of peeps stuff in the mail. I have 2 boxes of stuff to send her today. maggie
