Peeps 2. The Sweaty Asian Strikes Back. Pt 2. Feb '10. 2/21-Final Chapter. Link to TR

Hey Jordan! I have been reading your PTR for forever, trying to get caught up. I finally finished today and I have to admit by this point I am brain dead. I had so much to say and now I can't remember any of it.

Except, that I am really happy that you are trying Boma & Kona Cafe. Those are 2 of my favorite places to eat and I think you will really like them.

How is your weather lately? Has it calmed down at all? Up here, it has been wild and crazy. SO much rain, it has not stopped raining for days and I hear we have another 2 weeks of non-stop rain! We had some really high winds for a few days and Mt. Shasta (which is approx. 1 hour north) lost all their power and they shut down the freeway due to snow. So that created chain requirements and people were getting stuck here waiting for it to open. The road up there was closed for so long that the traffic was backed up to a stand still on the freeway (3 lanes!) for 6 hours. All of the big trucks were sitting across all 3 lanes and no one could get around them to get off the exits. What a nightmare! So glad that I read about it online before leaving work and I was able to avoid it. Hope it is doing better down on your end of the state!

Way better. I'm looking at the radar and it looks like you are getting hit again right now!

It's currently cool and cloudy and it's supposed to be showery tomorrow, but nothing like last week.

Thanks for sending your bad weather mojo my way ;)

Hey Jordy, I have a question....... Has your Kilt come in yet??? You know, the one you said you were going to WEAR at WDW???:rotfl:

Welcome back Jordan! :D

Wendy, glad to hear your dad is doing better! Sending well wishes for a speedy recovery for Dylan! And if I were you, I'd call about the ME tickets. We never got one for my sister back in '08 (she flew in a couple days after we did) and she nearly gave up and took a cab because the ME desk couldn't find her under my reservation.

1) Dad is home from the hospital after 5 days (yay!) but we got home after midnight last night (zzzzzzz) so it was a long day. My folks will be at my house for the week just resting and watching kids mid-week. He is feeling better after a recent transfusion and so his blood pressure is up now (good). He was having some low blood cell issues and other things but those seem to be ok now. Now he is just dealing with the chemo which so far, doesn't seem to have any major effects. Yay. :thumbsup2

2) Dylan is now experiencing fever off and on. So we have to keep him and my dad separated and he's been a little cranky (although he's loving being able to just lay around and watch TV). Prayers that he'll be better by WDW!! He's pulling a Jordan and getting sick before our trips... but I don't think it's because he's working too much and now is letting his body run down and lose the battle to the germs. Ha.

3) I haven't gotten Kim/Allan's ME tickets yet (a little nervous since I will need to mail them to them after I get them :sad2:). Hopefully I'll get them soon since I added them not long after I made our ressies and I already have our tickets.

4) Have a lot to do before we go and not a lot of time to do it in. :scared: Some work related, some trip related, some family related, some home related, some just life related. But then again, that always seems par for the course before a trip, thus adding to the maximum enjoyment of the trip. Ha.

5) 11 days out and I haven't started packing yet. I'm thinking it's going to be done on Feb 5. Ha ha ha. (note: we leave on the 6th) That's how my life is these days.

Ok, that's my quick state of the union address in my world. Now back to the silence that is Jordan's PTR.

:rotfl2:

Glad your dad is doing better but it figures that now that he is getting well, Dylan is sick! Hopefully he can kick that fever before you leave! Lotsa prayers your way for Dylan and your dad!

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:
I think Rosie was looking forward to seeing you in the kilt.

I think we ALL were.... ;)

So this is an actual ap that you download?? I have the blackberry but don't think I can get the ap, can i? I can go to m.disneyworld.com is that the same thing???

This is from Allears.net when it released I think Versizon has a list of which phones will support it. When I tried to get it for my Alias II via text I was told my phone did not support the app. It seems to work on regualr no frills phones.

Disney Mobile Magic - On Nov. 10, a soft launch of a new mobile application will be available to Verizon Wireless subscribers that puts a virtual personal tour guide of the Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resorts right in the palms of their hands. The Disney Mobile Magic application provides valuable information to Guests such as attraction wait times for the park they are in, Disney’s FASTPASS Service return times and the ability to located their favorite characters using their mobile device. The application’s GPS technology displays park maps that pinpoint a guest’s location and can also provide suggestions on what to visit next, based on what is nearby. By providing location-specific, real-time guides for each of Disney’s parks and resort hotels, Guests can find what they’re looking for more quickly, navigate the park with confidence, and spend more time enjoying themselves in the park. The application offers live competitive trivia games, videos, character stories and other surprises to keep Guests entertained while waiting in line at the park. The application is designed to also provide specific services for a Guest while planning a Disney vacation from home. Additionally, a new, separate mobile website will allow any Guest with a browser-enabled phone to access useful information such as park hours, entertainment schedules and dining information. Use of this website is at no charge, and is similar to browsing www.disneyworld.com as Guests would on their computer, but redesigned for the mobile phone environment. This soft launch will provide the opportunity to fine-tune the application to better prepare us for the official launch in January.

Disney Mobile Magic is only available on select Verizon Wireless phones. Functionality issues with the phone or the application should be directed to use the “Click-to-Call” function on their mobile phone or call Verizon Customer Care by dialing 611 from any Verizon phone or (800) 922-0204 from any other phone.

Disney Mobile Magic is available for download and purchase beginning Nov. 10, 2009 for $9.99 per 180 days of service. To purchase the application, Guests can text MAGIC to 2777 from their Verizon phone.

Yes! It has been remarkably slow these days (although honestly, that's a little less pressure on me to not have to come back to 20 pages after only 2 days... ha ha ha ha :rotfl:)... but here's my report as to my lack of response (and perhaps Jordan has a similar level of busy/craziness/illness keeping him from DISing as much as desired.):
