Actually, for the AKV portion the DDP would actually run a bit more. Plus, at Jiko and Brown Derby, I do not want the most expensive thing on the menu so I wouldn't be getting the full value of using 2 TS credits. Thanks for checking though. I did go back and double check. I would much prefer to do the DDP than not.

I "rednecked" some booze on our last trip, and I felt like it saved me quite a bit on drinks. I bought some mini rums and a pint of lemon vodka - wrapped them in bubble wrap for the flight. then in the late afternoon, I'd bring my "adult beverage" down to the pool in my refillable mug and have the rum with coke, and the vodka with some frozen lemonade and Sprite. By the time we went to dinner, i'd already had my cocktail, so I didn't order one, except sometimes a glass of wine.

So glad to read that your dad is a bit better and looking good! We are sending prayers for him and your mom and family. Also for you and your Lasik surgery! My MIL had it done and can see so much better.

Hey Wendy, That's a great update!! I'm so, so, so glad to hear that dad is resting more comfortably and the meds are working to control his pain!!

REally will be asking that the Lord uses this chemo to zap off anything that doesn't belong there and that it is 100% effective for him!! May he rest and be healed.

So stoked for your lasik!! WOOT! Let us know how it turns out!! Some of us are still in the pipeline for that.

Oh! Are you thinking about getting it done? I was excited that now I was eligible for it because of the improvements in technology... hopefully I won't need reading glasses just yet and I can be glasses-free for a while...

Coming out of lurkdom to say hi and thanks! It took me 2 days to read both of these pre-trip reports and I have loved every minute!! Can't wait to see what this trip has in store for you!!!

Just read all of your posts and I have one question..well I have a ton really as my husband and I are leaving in a month (??!!)...what do you do with the lime green mickey heads??? i'm new here and this is my first trip to disney world in about twenty years. crazy, huh?

I use them to make countdown calendars, tags for my backpack, scrapbooking.....you name it, and I've probably done it.
I get them in a lot of colors

I laminate them and put them on my camera bag with my username on them. I got one DISer come up to me because of it last time I went.

It's kind of weird going up to someone you don't really know. However, since I am doing all the updates on the FEB 2010 thread. I at least know alot of the screennames. People should also know me since I'm doing the updating....

I got Trial size Free!!Tha'ts IF you don't count the $60 + it cost to have my teeth cleaned !!! Yup I have toothpaste, toothbrush and floss now !!!!

Rose, this will probably be the most expensive trial size anything you'll own on your trip! But I bet your pearlies are all pretty and ready for all those pictures at the meets.

Momentary thread hijack: Update on me and my dad.... dad is doing really well - sleeping much better over the last several days, minimal pain (love those painkillers) and getting stronger in general and looking more like himself. Chemo starts tomorrow through Friday and then he's off for 2 weeks. Pray that the treatment is effective while not too taxing. Pray for strength/energy for my mom as well. As for me, I'm finally getting my Lasik done tomorrow (whoooo hooo! ) so hopefully that will go well too.

I've been super swamped at work (last night working til 2:30am!) making up for the next two days I'll be off work... so not as much time to DIS... will be OOP for a couple days (can't work on the computer for a bit after surgery) so I'll check in on Friday.

Now back to your regularly scheduled poop-gramming. Ooops, freudian slip.

Wendy, it's such a blessing to hear good news about your dad. I will keep up the prayers, and will be waiting with expectancy for good news as treatments take place.

I laminate them and put them on my camera bag with my username on them. I got one DISer come up to me because of it last time I went.
We do the same thing, we also put them on our luggage, backpacks/baggallini's. I punch a hole after laminating them and then I put a grommet through it, then I put a lime green ribbon through the grommet. They hold up well to all the beatings our luggage take on trips. We put ours on our luggage back in May 2007 and they are just now needing to be replaced. They've seen Ireland, and quiet a few trips in between. Also helps you to spot your luggage quickly if you have luggage close to the same color as everyone else's. I also use them along with lots of other colors to decorate our room window. Mouse keeping really get's into you decorating, we came back the first day with our window curtain tied together like a swing and our dd10's Hello Kitty sitting in it, along with a few other stuffed animals sitting in the window. It really added to the magic of our trip.

I try to think about the trip when I can but don't seem to have much time either. I've decided that I will think about it when I'm on my way to it.

That is what DH does too. He gets a little beer to keep in the fridge at OKW. I don't really drink beer so if I want a cocktail while at the resort, I just swing by the pool bar and grab one then head back to the room. Sometimes when DS is taking his nap we will enjoy a drink on the balcony. It's nice!

I still have about 4 hours to go - but helping at Erin's school first in a couple hours. So after 3pm PST I'll be out of pocket (at least DIS related) for a couple days. And yes, they are definitely giving me valium and ibuprofen... ha ha ha. So i don't freak out when they go in for my eyes... ha.
