Peeps 2. The Sweaty Asian Strikes Back. Pt 2. Feb '10. 2/21-Final Chapter. Link to TR

you never know.....they are weird about that kinda stuff. a couple years ago my sister's boyfriend wanted to buy a figurine for me and have "dawny-pants" put on it and they wouldn't do it. they said they couldn't put a "suggestive" name on anything. he said, "what part of dawny-pants is suggestive?" the girl just told him it was against their policy. :confused3

by the way, dawny-pants is just what he calls me because he's weird.

i think it would be hilarious though! just make sure everyone has a spare shirt to throw on just in case. :thumbsup2

I don't think it will fly. Ryan was recently at DL wearing a shirt I bought in Saint Maarten for him at the Sint Maarten Rum store - black gentleman with a white beard in a top hat - it is the label from the Sint Maarten rum. A CM came up to him and started yelling at him and shaking her finger - telling him that shirt was very offensive to African Americans and he should be ashamed. He stated that it came from the rum store and the Dutch Africans were not offended - she got even madder. He ended up buying a shirt in the park and changing because he was worried about offending anyone else. I still don't understand it - It did not look like Al Jolsen or anything like that - just an older gentleman. :confused3

Chapter 61. A little something for everyone.

First of all, not that he needs any more pimpin', but FauntleroyFan Dan has started his PTR:

Squirts, shirts and flirts...

Please visit his PTR! He's a good friend and pretty funny.

Next on the agenda: I have to come clean. I am pretty sure now that Home Depot is NOT discontinuing the Mickey Heads....OOPS.

I went to 2 more Home Depots yesterday and noticed they have both the paint sample strips like every other paint brand AND they have Mickey Heads as well. I don't think I ever noticed it before, but it seems that they have had always had both by the way the plastic holder is made....Guess I'm not very observant.

I guess I'll be writing a letter to Home Depot apologizing for all the crazy people who have been descending on their stores. I would kill to see all the videos!:rotfl2: DISers Caught On Tape-Home Depot Style!

Again, I apologize for sending ripples of terror on this little corner DIS.:flower3:

I need some advice:

I've been thinking about my intinerary. I have 12 full days and a 10 day ticket. I can do the Give a Day, Get a Day to pick up an extra day, but I don't know if I can git'er'done before the trip. I currently have the Water Park and More add on. However, given the unpredictability of weather during the winter months, Typhoon Lagoon may not end up working out. I can switch things around on the fly if there ends up being a warm day on a day that I have something else scheduled. That said, I may have a day or two where I can't go into the parks.

One of those days would be while I'm among the family/friends and the other day would be during my solo portions.

Suggestions?

Has anyone ever done peewee golf? I think you get one free admission w/ the package.
Spa? Which one is the best?
Movie?
How about something different? Wendy and Derek sent me on a photo scavenger hunt once....

50 days out-I can't believe the trip is coming up so quickly. Here's looking back

Stating the obvious
wdwfeb2008329.jpg

My second favorite restroom at WDW. Guess where this is? Single flusher. no going back and looking....where's my favorite theme park restroom located.
wdwfeb2008342.jpg

Grey Goose Slushie
wdwfeb2008152.jpg

I have no idea where your favorite bathroom is- I probably care about that as much as you care about which salad dressing I plan to get at any given TS place. Well, ok, maybe it might be fun to know; but rather than wade through the lot, I"ll wait for your answer. No, that won't do at all, going now.

Never done peewee golf.

I'd say take your resort hopping day on the day they all leave. A good time to wind down and enjoy the "alone-ness".

Do you really think it'd be taht hard to squeeze in the Give/Get day?? There ought to be plenty of opps. during the 'season'. Might give you a little flex if you need it, or the water park thing doesn't work out. :confused3

I say Relax by the pool - have drinks by the pool, and relax some more!:thumbsup2

As for the restroom, I'm going to go out on a limb and guess Norway, near the Viking Ship

Oh I love relaxing days at Disney!! Disney just knows how to do relaxation right!!! I have been to both the Grand Floridian spa and the Saratoga Springs Spa and while I loved them both...GF totally won my heart...it was AMAZING!!!

I have never been mini golfing at Disney but I have heard great things about it!!!

I've heard varying reports on all of them. It's just so expensive, but hey..you only live once. I love massages-the harder the better.

Can't wait to try it!

I think we may try to squeeze the get a day/give a day even though we have tix for all our days. Looks like you can also get fastpasses (to select attractions, whatever that means) and if we don't want those then you can also donate the free day to a local boys and girls club. I know what you mean on the time though, the program doesn't start until 1/1/10 so it depends what they offer in January and if we can work it in.

Donna Sue wants to get massages so we were planning on the Grand Floridian on an off-park day but I'm having second thoughts to tell the truth. Massages are great but I can get them at home so I'm not sure I want to use the vacation time/money to get one. I'm leaving that up to her though, I have heard the spa there is very nice. Plus like I said we actually have tix for all days so I might want to use them.

I think the massage will be a great unwinding time for me IF I do it. I'm 30/70 that I'll do it. 30 yes/70 no.

I don't want to volunteer just to get the ticket. I want to make sure that I am volunteering for the right cause. So like you said, we'll see what turns up in January.

As for the bathroom, obviously AK but as I've never been to that park I don't feel at all bad saying I don't know.

You are right about AK.

eliz said:
Yeah, the 49ers have been suffering too...but at least you didn't just build a jillion dollar stadium to show off your under-achieving team. Actually, I think y'all just have personnel problems getting a good team together. We just have...problems.

Trying to get a new stadium built.

Camp MinnieMickey?

Winner!!!!!

The restroom is in Camp Minnie/Mickey--on a hot day, the coolest, newest, quietest, cleanest restroom I've been to at WDW so far. I wish they had a cot. I would've taken a nap..:rolleyes1

I'm thinking that your favorite restroom was at Epcot somewhere....or at least there was one there that was frequented...um, infrequently. ???

You are correct sir.

Imagination Pavilion around the corner. quiet and clean. However, I'll check out the Camp Minnie and Mickey one out again this trip...it may move up to my favorite.

I can't wait to relax! I can't wait to get sound sleep! It still may not be 8 hours of sleep, but I won't have a worry in the world. I'll sleep like a rock. I feel sorry for the people staying in the next room. I'll be snoring up a storm.

See above guess. Camp Minnie/Mickey at AK!

Excuse me for shouting - I love winning.

In all my trips to WDW, I never knew that one was there till I read about it on your TR, Jordan, and then I had to go check it out when I was there in May. It was indeed nice and quiet. Just about had to be, cause who the heck would ever know it's there unless they read your TRs!

Ever since they built the ones outside the Character Connection, the Imagination ones barely get used. The equipment is aging though...But still always quiet and clean.

FYI, there are also restrooms by the exit of the International Gateway of Epcot between France and the UK pavilion. Also, a little known restroom.

Lots of good suggestions. Massage sound interesting...wasn't it you that had a little unwanted squeezing of the royal moonmaker the last time you went to the GF Spa?

Okay what should LiteBriten win for correctly guessing the "LOO location Hmmm !!How about some "Loo Paper !!!!:rotfl2:

I'm actually liking the whole take a picture at every resort idea. That in itself might be very tiring.

Nope not Wilderness Lodge.

You know, after I said that idea I was really liking that idea too. Too bad I can't fit it in January. :rotfl2:

:rotfl2::rotfl2: Yes, I got a little extra sumthin sumthin from Elaine. The senior aged masseuse who got a feel of my rock hard buns.:rolleyes1

It was at the Boardwalk not GF though. Good memory however.

I've never been to any of the All Stars Resorts, CSR, POR, POFQ, OKW. So I may definitely see how many I can hit.:thumbsup2

Thanks again for the idea. I'll be sure to look at light fixtures.;)

D'oh! That should have been the challenge....light fixtures from every resort! :scared1: Now I really want to do this!

as my tag says...I'm a popper....it's a sickness I blame on my mother.

Hmmn...wonder who Jeff can blame. He can barely restrain himself around the kids.

Which...AAACKKKK

I think I spotted the first official one on Evan last night!

I dare you to make up T-shirts with that on them, for everyone to wear. :rotfl:

I dare everyone to wear them!

Imagine the looks on people's faces while y'all have on the T-shirts.
:rotfl2:

I wonder if MK would kick y'all out for having them on?

Lime Green with Pink letters :rotfl2::rotfl2:I'd wear it !!

Yeah and if the pictures of the buttons somehow made it to our Sr Pastor....OY!

We'll see........I like the idea of some sort of T-shirt.

Me too. It can be done. The idea that you could get in trouble for what your T says really bugs me, freedom of expression and all, but still, I'm thinking Peep Fest is the way to go.

Honestly, I'd have complained about that. That's very uncool of that CM IMHO.

Ok. to the other 3 pages I was behind on....

1. I'd have guessed AK, not a clue on the Camp Minnie Mickey.
2. Personally I'd scrap the water and more tix. If the weather cooperates it is cheaper to buy a one day ticket to the water park then have the "and more" on your whole tix. If the weather doesn't, money saved.
3. I've been to the GF Spa for a pedicare and then also had a massage at the WL fitness center. Note that not all of the massage locations are officially spa's, some just offer massage. Depends on what you want but I got a killer massage at WL and I do know that the masseuses rotate and the one I had also works at AK. So my vote is massage at AK. I was able to get the right level of pressure which never happens at a typical spa massage (wimpy...pleasant but not the deep tissue I want). If you want info on it, I'd be happy to send.

Imagination Pavilion around the corner. quiet and clean. However, I'll check out the Camp Minnie and Mickey one out again this trip...it may move up to my favorite.

The Imagination Pavillion bathroom is my favorite too. It's always nice and quiet and there's no line (for ladies at least. There's never a line for you guys!).

I've done putt putt only at Fantasia Gardens, and it was fun, but I would do the whimsical side, not the side that is designed like golf greens. It also could have been because I was miserable when I played because it was seriously 100 degrees outside and felt like I was melting.

Oh oh...the light fixture addict has been unleashed.;)

I can't even bring myself to really talk about poppin pimples. Don't know why, I don't have a problem with anything else.;)

I got the mental videos running in my head of the different styles of "lifting" the Mickey Heads from Home Depot and did the same. I was just laughing.

I am wavering about the massage for the very reason of inadequate pressure. I go to this chair massage place near my house. 35 dollars for 1/2 hour. They go to town on my back.....

I'll probably keep the Water Park option because I know we'll be going to Disney Quest 1x, maybe 2x and that'll pay for the add on even if we don't do Typhoon Lagoon

I hope it stays that way now that it's been broadcast on the DIS;)

PeeWee Golf is moving up the ranking since I have one free admission with my pkg.

What ever the T shirt says I want one !!!!!:worship:I have my Mammouth May Meet one still and still waer it occasionally !! I think I'll take it in Feb to confuse evreyone:rotfl2:

I would also give up the Water Park option, save some money and give yourself an extra day to do "whatever." As far as massages, I would say Grand Floridian. I've had great massages there and then go to (my favorite) Grand Floridian Cafe for lunch. You could always have a bath/soak before your massage. Leaves your skin feeling really soft and moisturized and your muscles nice and relaxed for a good massage.

Anyway we can play along with the scavenger hunt?? Maybe we can be with you "virtually." Post pictures and/or name and/or places and/or things that you have to go and get pics of. I don't know. Just thinking.

I can't beleive how quick it's coming. Yay for you!

Next on the agenda: I have to come clean. I am pretty sure now that Home Depot is NOT discontinuing the Mickey Heads....OOPS.

So YOU were the one that started this :lmao::rotfl::lmao:

I have been reading this in many different places....wow!! The influence you have

I'm surprised many haven't been arrested because of you ;)

I kept telling Matt when he goes to HD to steal me some b/c they were getting rid of them......I will retract that statement

:rotfl2: That is just toooooooo funny!!!!! :rotfl2:

Jordy also told me to take all of my money out of the bank and put it in my mattress, so I did that this afternoon after my Home Depot run.

next he's going to tell us to move to an island and drink some special kool-aid..;)

ok, with DQ that makes sense, its saves money in that sit.

If you do get a massage, request the person I had, she was brutal. And I mean that in the nicest way! She's got a little bit of a following on the spa thread... I actually felt like it was worth the money. Unlike my pedicure at the GF...

I'll have to start thinking of some designs....

hmmn....

next he's going to tell us to move to an island and drink some special kool-aid..;)

Slushie kool aid???????

We could sneak it onto Tom Sawyer Island....in boda bags....
