Pecos Bills or California Grill

honestly not sure if this is an accurate question as they are totally different places

Peco's Bill is a quick service in the Magic Kingdom while California Grill is a signature restaurant at the top of the Contemporary


We've been to both and Peco's was definitely the worst meal we have ever had at Disney World - everything was flavorless and it was super crowded.

California Grill is one of the best meals we have ever had and watching the fireworks over the Magic Kingdom is awesome ... obviously it is much more expensive though

Uh....not sure how to compare the 2.

Pecos is a CS place with burgers/taco salad and Cali grill is a signature TS restaruant.

That would be comparing apples and eggs, not even oranges.

No way close to each other.

Start out w/ light apps at CG & finish your culinary adventure at Pecos Bill You can have a full meal for a percentage of the price of an actual CG meal. I say you start with the lobster bisque & goat cheese ravioli for your apps. Then, progress to a delectable Pecos Bill taco salad for your entree. The real question: strawberry yogurt or pre-packaged carrot cake for dessert?

I think the issue is hows the fixin's bar at CG for the Pan-seared Florida Snapper - with Roasted Fig Risotto, Wild Forest Mushrooms, and Pinot Noir Reduction.

Or is the Pinot Noir Reduction on the fixin's bar. Do they have a Cabernet Sauvignon Reduction? Is it maybe next the the Camembert cheese sauce?

I've had the snapper. Unfortunately they haven't expanded the fixin's bar yet, and the dish certainly could've used a dollop of cheese sauce or sauteed onion. Here's a pic:

No whole wheat bun either. Just some warm sourdough bread. I spent the entire meal looking at MK from my table dreaming of those fall-apart-in-your-hand buns:

That is a very thought-provoking question! I would say that if you can get an ADR for Pecos and a guaranteed table with a view...go for it!

All the desserts are basically sugar, flour and water anyway...so I don't think you would notice a real difference between the desserts mentioned here and the CG offerings...and you would come out financially ahead!!

Sadly, the luck we've had at CG,I'd have a better chance getting my family to go to Pecos Bill's. The food isn't very good, but it's fast, and much cheaper than CG.

Can you get your Peco's Bill's "To Go" and bring with you up to Cali Grill? Then just eat at the bar during Wishes and you'll have a Super view !

My last trip to California Grill was a disaster. They pretty much FORCE you to eat with utensils there! And to top it off, right in the middle of dinner someone thought it would be a good idea to shoot off a bunch of fireworks. It was so distracting. I will never eat there again!
