Hi

Just heard that Pecos Bill has removed the rice bowls and added a Southwest Burger served with tortilla chips. Just wondering if anyone has been there to confirm that. Heard they still have the burritos and fajitas besides the hamburger.

I heard that too (from the Vegan Disney blog). It's a shame that they removed the only vegetarian/vegan option from the menu and replaced it with a beef burger. Sounds like they were trying to appease the people who complained about the format change. I'm pretty sure the only thing that would make this burger a "Southwest" burger (besides the tortilla chips) is the toppings bar. I'm also pretty sure you can get a beef burger at several other QS locations in MK so I'm not sure what the outcry was all about.

Of course now they put the burger back, lol. I was stuck eating here at MNSSHP the end of October because I hadn't realized so many of the QS locations close down much earlier than park closing. I'm not a fan of Mexican/Southwestern food so I had a children's plain cheese quesadilla. Considering this seems to be one of the locations kept open longer it would make sense to me that they try and have a little more variety of offerings. As a former vegetarian though that's disappointing that they would replace a veggie option with a burger and not just add the burger to the menu.

Nooo!!! The roasted vegetable rice bowl was really good! I am really sad now...

That's ridiculous, why not just add the burger, there was no need to remove the rice bowl.

Ugh. I had the rice bowl last week (spicy beef). It was great. I don't need a "southwest burger".

Looks like they removed the soup as well - which DH enjoyed substituting for his dessert on our recent trip.

Oh no! I was looking forward to trying the veggie rice bowl. The revised menu doesn't show any vegetarian options. Just wondering if anyone there recently (or now) has been offered a vegetarian option that is not listed on the menu?
