We stopped on the way to the Fort at a Flying J in Resaca, GA, and across the street was a fresh fruit stand. They had locally grown pecans in the shell, and we bought a bag. They were the best pecans I've ever had.
We stopped at a few more farmers market type places on the way back, but were unable to find any more pecans in the shell. I can't find info on the fruit stand in Resaca on the internet, but I am thinking of calling the Flying J and asking if they know how to get a hold of the people at the fruit stand!
I thought I'd ask here first. Does anyone know where I could order some good non-commercial pecans in the shell? Organically grown would be even better. We don't have anything like that around here, and I'd love to order some!
Thanks

If your ever there in fall take the hayride and see 10000's of pumpkins...and hear the history and different types that are grown there.
