Pebbles closed

Happened to drive by Pebbles Caribbean Grill (in Crossroads) last night, and it was dark and abandoned. It's a shame, one of the better restaurants on 535, and one of the last independents. Truthfully, I thought Jungle Jim's would have gone first.

Do you know if all the Pebbles have closed? In addition to the Crossroads location, we have also had excellent meals at the Winter Park Pebbles. That's actually a loss. It was a very good restaurant.

I'm very sorry to hear that! We always had great meals with attentive service there.

What a bummer. We ate there in August of '05 and thought the food was good and unique. They had some great wines by the glass as well.

As far as I know, yes--I am sure the Longwood and downtown locations closed a couple years ago. In fact, I believe the originial owner sold this one (the 535 one), but the new owner kept the name while giving it the new caribbean theme.

I live near Ft Lauderdale. We had a Pebbles near us and that closed two or so years ago-I never had a chance to eat there, bummer!
