Pear Harbor is no bomb

Mind if I do a little arithematic. PH does 119 mil in 10 days, Shrek does 148 mil in 17 days and PH is doing badly. Hmmm.. 10 days = 11.9 per day; 17 days = 8.8 per day. So either Shrek is going to continue at this pace for its run and PH just fall off the end of the earth this weekend or PH may actually do well and spoil all the fun for the Disney bashers.

Since I have no crystal ball, I will wait for final numbers before declaring a winner.

By the way, my local newspaper subscribes to something called The Parent Paper (insert once a month into regular delivery). It has an ad for Atlantis none for Shrek.

You were right with the first one. Shrek will continue for most of it's run adn PH will fall off. Theaters will pull PH off to make way for Tomb Raider. With it's length the showings will be restricted and figures will drop. By month end it will be gone or nearly gone.(1 screen) My local theater had it on 4 screens (out of 20) first weekend and have cut it to 2. to bring in The Animal on 2 screens.Shrek is on 3 and has been since it opened and It is nearly filling all screensings.
I am not being a Disney basher simply stating the figures.I thought PH would be a pretty big hit but Disney hyped it too much. It didn't deliver to it's expectations. Shrek on the other hand hyped nothing and delivered everything.Repeatly.Some people have seen it 3 or more times. Few will sit through PH more than twice as they did with Titanic (some seeing it 4 times or more.)
As for your paper that's easy.... Shrek doesn't need advertising. Word of mouth is doing that. If Shrek keeps going Atlantis will need all the advertising it can get.
