Want to take friends with us to WDW but the son has a very bad allergy to peanuts and anything with peanut oil.
Is there a site to go to for a list of peanut free restaurants?
Thank you

I am curious about this too. My dd's best friend has life threatening allergy to nuts. Her family is going to disney for the first time and it would be nice to give her a list of restaurants, etc. that would be good for her.

I don't think there is a list of restaurants like that. I'm allergic to carrots and almonds, and I usually pick the restaurants that we're going to dine at, and then call them up, and tell them about my dietary restrictions. They are great about preparing a special meal. Just be sure to give advance notice :)

My dd has the dreaded peanut allergy (other nuts are ok) and it is always a bit of a nightmare coming to the USA as peanuts & peanut butter feature highly on kids menus BUT I have to say ALL restaurants (with the excepiton of one "Friendlys") have been very accommodating in pointing out food that contains peanuts!! More & more restaurants are becoming aware of the seriousness of food allergies & aren't that surprised when you enquire about them. In all the Disney restaurants we have eaten in, a chef always comes out to speak to us personally which instills great confidence - thanks Disney!
My only tips would be: Beware of hidden peanuts in some chocolate products (the "Friendly" waitress insisted the decoration on my dd ice cream was chocolate m&m's & it turned out one was a Reeces Pieces - if it weren't for her medication it could have ended really badly!!)
Generally tho' as long as you make staff aware you shouldn't have any problems!!
Have fun;)

Call ahead and talk to WDW dine... They will note it on PS and give you the numbers to the places you will be dining. We love the Japan steak house (they use no peanuts!) We Have had very good luck with WDW in general as long as we call ahead we have done ok. Please bring the Eppi pen or what you use just in case. We allways have the server or host re-wipe down our table when we eat at place like Coral Reef which has a peanut butter play dough desert for kids and I worry about the resadue left on the table. Be forwarned that most of the buffets have that stuff on the kids area! We can still go but we keep her clear of it and sit out in the open away from the fumes.... The main thing to watch for is the baked goods. We have allways been able to get an list of what is in anything we asked about. Most of all bring the benadryll and have a great time!:D

you might want to ask this over on the disabilities board too.

From what I have read here you won't have problems at most places. The 2 problems I have read of here was cross contamination from tongs use to pick up a danish (or similar food item) and a child getting a PBJ sandwich on the pirate cruise. When the mother had checked the menu with a CM before arriving, they were serving something else. The easiest thing to do is to make ps's and have it noted on the PS and to call ahead 24 before the meal.

My DS has a peanut allergy and he has been to WDW 4 times(hes 5 yo). We have never had any problem. When in doubt, ask the server and they will check with the chef if they dont know. They seem to take these allergies very seriously and are very willing to help.

Not to worry just specify the allergy when making PS arrangements they will work with you. Both of my DD's have very severe food allergies, both to nuts of any kind and can't even tough them, and one has an allergy to eggs or food products that contain eggs in them, and the other to all dairy products or any food item that contains dairy or whey from dairy. You would think this would present a problem, but every restaurant we went to the head chef's came to the table talked to me and made all of their food themselves. I did have the epi pens and benadryl ready but not needed.
