Peanut Allergy HELP

Does anyone know if they use nuts on anything at LTT? My DS10 has a nut allergy (so far, it is moderate, not severe). He swears there are nuts at LTT and for the past two years, both times when we went there, he says he has a stomach ache. (He has not knowingly been in contact with any nuts since he was 4, and at that time they made him throw up and he would then be immediately better).

However, I was just wondering if the green beans have almonds or something like that. Anyone know?

Like TRu blu we were really happy with our experience at crystal Palace DS 7has peanut/treenut allergy and is a fussy eater, The chef was very good and told us what to have and not to have i will reiterate that there will be no baked goods, no icecreams or sundaes very little desserts, save hot chocolate or chocalate milk as the dessert while the parents and other children are having dessert DS is used to that when we travel. It's a good idea for a grocery stop and pick up your routine peanut free items on route. I was terrified last trip but it worked out just fine. Always confirm for product changes. last time 2004 casey's hot dogs were a staple as was the chicken at cosmic rays, pizza planet pizza and the and mickey waffles and room delivery pizza at pop. Some kitchens may have cross containmination issues especially places like the WS counter services bakeries be waryand the food courts where PB and J is own the menu ,we never went to that station at pop . We have ADR this trip for Rainforest Cafe, Hollywood &Vine ,Primetime(also very attentive can be creative with mashed potatoes and roast beef), Tusker lunch (might be a bust for the DS as varieties of asian and african foods will be very risky, might be a pasta and butter lunch that day,) and finally CRT
When you book your ADR tell them exactly who has the peanut tree nut allergy pre each restauraunt reservation. they will then give you the phone # and you can call the restauraunt from your resort the day before each reservation, to confirm, good luck have fun, bring your own stash of treats be aware but don't let it ruin your trip. We would never eat at a buffet anywhere except disney.:cool1:

There could be a cross contamination or an oil being used or something , Believe there are traces of nuts in alot of things be wary of desserts including cookies and ice cream, some foods especially chinese, thai and indian foods have fillers based on nut products or may have a sauce with nuts in them our allergist says steer clear of those completly

:goodvibes I can't imagine having to constantly worry about my child and his/her allergies. I feel for all of the parents who have this constant worry. I am so glad to hear that Disney goes the extra distance. Disney truely is for EVERYONE!:goodvibes

Does anyone have that Head Chef Brenda's email address. Last year, I spoke to the head chef at the GF regarding the pirate cruise. The GF stocks the boats for the cruise and I asked him why the PB&J?

He said the Disney was looking into doing a peanut free cruise once a week - I'd like to know if they are still looking at it.

DD7 has life threatenting peanut allergies and she really wants to do this boat ride - but as long as they are serving PB&J without parent supervision there is no way in heck I"m going to let her out there in the middle of the lake without me.

(That sound you hear is a helicopter, cuz when it comes to her allergies, I'm a helicopter parent and darn proud of it. ):goodvibes

I totally agree I really wanted DS 7 to try the GF cruise but it seemed that there were no substitutions and there would be pb everywhere in the around lunch so i to did not add that to our plans like CINDY's MOM

I agree -- I'm another mom with 2 children with peanut allergies who would love to go on the pirate cruise. Why can't they just always serve something different?
