Has anyone stayed here???
How would you rate it??

We ve been looking at hotels in disney area that are in close walking distance to DL

Came a cross this 1 so was curious to read peoples reviews of it

Also looked at Candy Cane Inn, seemed to get great reviews on Trip Advisor

Any info is greatly appreciated

We stayed here in Dec of 08' and enjoyed our stay. The room we had slept 6 people, Two queen beds and a pull-out sofa. It also was nice to have the doors that separate the beds from the sofa so we could put the kids to bed. They have free breakfast, but just the basics. I believe you could pay extra for eggs and pancakes. It was clean and the help was nice. The pool was ok, good for swimming. You do have to pay for valet per day. The distance to the park is on the borderline for walking distance. I dont know if I would walk with small ones. We did have some teens from our group that did walk. The shuttle bus stops right in front of the hotel and we never waited more than 5 mins. Overall, we enjoyed the stay there and I would stay there again! Hope this helps! Good luck and have fun on your trip!

We own with Shell so we stay at the Peacock Suites often. Their rooms are nice, well sized but no full kitchen like most timeshares. The PS have a small fridge, micro, coffee maker and dishes to eat but if you use the dishes you have to wash them in the sink in the bathroom area, there is no other way to do it. I much prefer to have an actual kitchen but when we go to DLR I don't want to cook so it works out. :)
They have a free continental bfast, no paying for eggs or pancakes, there's no kitchen to make them in. We've had toast, bagels, donuts, boiled eggs (not sure how they do those since there's no kitchen) cereal (basics like cheerios, corn flakes, etc) and various juices, teas and coffees to drink, nothing gourmet but a good start to the day.
We don't walk, when we go to DLR we have APs so we have free parking so we drive. DBF and I did walk when he and I were there alone Jan 2009, it was fine in the morning but no way would we walk it back at night, we were too tired and our feet were too tired to do it. We took a cab back a couple times, it was about $5 with tip, they do have ART pick up right out front but in our experience (the one trip we didn't park at the structure) it's very full by the time it gets to the PS and no one stands up for kids......I don't mind standing but I don't feel my children should stand while adults sit, so instead we drive. :)
The staff at the PS is usually very good, we've had a few issues with staff checking in but nothing too major. We did have a dirty bathroom once (black hairs in the sink and tub) but it was cleaned up quickly. We also have had issues with massively loud and obnoxious neighbors (they woke us up by screaming and yelling at about 4:30 am, and the front desk wouldn't help us at all) and received no help from the staff, that was extremely frustrating. The valets are the BEST valets EVER!!!!! Seriously, they are the best, they are very attentive and helpful, we never had to wait long for the car at all. The fee is $8 per day and we always tipped the valets as well. :)

All in all PS is decent, but don't walk, drive or take the ART or even a taxi. :)
