Peachtree Road Race

I was just wondering is anyone was doing Peachtree Road Race tomorrow. I wil be there in time group 1A.

I'm not going but I hear that they are lined up from the start to just south of Nashville.

Seriously I heard that the winners will be done before the last corrals get to the starting line.

I "ran" today. Group 4. I crossed the start line at 25 minutes after the offical start. The winner crossed in 29 minutes. There were five groups after me. I crossed the finish at 1:45 (offical time) The announcer was saying that the last group (9) had crossed the start line thirty minutes ago.....

But I have the TSHIRIT!!! That's why I ran I wanted the Tshirt!


I normally just lurk here, but maybe I will get brave and post. I did much better then I expected on this "race" (If you aren't in group 1 it's not really a "race". My boyfriend was up there in 1a with the OP!) It's the first time I ever tried anything like this and my goal was 1:30 so...... (I am SLOW LOL!)

I think I have convinced my boyfriend that we need to do the Tower Of Terror race.

I was in Group 9 (last group) and we didnt get to the starting line until a little after 8:30 by my watch. But, I GOT THE SHIRT My sister was in Group 6 and a cousin in Group 8.

I am impressed. I am not sure I could do it from Group 9...... I did read that if you submit ANY qualifying time they will put you in group 2 or 3, so next year I am aiming for ANY qualifying time. (I KNOW group 1 is NOT happening!! Speedy will just have to wait on me again!)

I wore the Tshirt to the fireworks at Lenox last night (while the boyfriend rolled his eyes.... I didn't care, I had the thing and I was wearing it!!!)

I did not do quite as well as I wanted to do. I was hoping for right around 50 minutes but came in at 56, but I do have the shirt . To me the most fun part about this race is just marveling at the sheer number of people that are both in the race and watching on the side of the road. It was inspirational to me to see all the people from Sheppard Spinal center out cheering on the runners.

I was in Decatur today and saw a couple with thier shirts on and starting talking to them about the race. I can't recall what group they were in. Next year I am not going to check casual runner/walker. Last year I was in group 3 . I was planning on wearing my shirt today but changed my mine. Sooooo I am wearing it tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just tell people that I allowed someone else to win this year
