Registration for The Atlanta Journal-Constitution Peachtree Road Race to
Open Sunday, March 15, 2009

Online Registration Added as an Entry Option for the 2009 Peachtree
Atlanta, February 5, 2009 – The Atlanta Track Club, organizer of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution Peachtree Road Race, announced the addition of online registration as an entry option for the 2009 event. Online registration for the
40th running of the Peachtree will open at 7 a.m. EST on Sunday, March 15, 2009 through ajc.com/peachtree. The traditional paper application will run in the AJC on Sunday, March 22, 2009, giving Peachtree participants different
options for registering for this year’s event.

The first 45,000 out of a total of 55,000 entries will be accepted through the new online registration process. Those unable to secure one of the first 45,000 entries or who prefer mailing in their payment with a registration form can fill out the paper application that will run in the March 22 AJC. The event’s remaining 10,000 slots will be selected at random from all paper applications received by mail and postmarked by March 31, 2009.

BUMP FOR REMINDER!

Today's the registration date.

JUST did mine (9:45 AM Eastern) and didn't have a problem but did not a "blurb" on the AJC that said "problems had been fixed" LOL!

DH and I started trying at 7 AM and kept getting error messages. Finally got in a little over an hour later...

This thing was an absolute disaster this morning. Obviously there was little or no testing done of the form submission process. I gave up about 8:00 AM, and then checked back in around 11:00, when they said they had corrected their issues, and I was able to get in! The online registrations should be full soon, if not already, so get on there now!

EDITED TO ADD: Online registration is full now. The old fashion registration process for the last 10,000 spots will be next weekend.

There was an advantage to sleeping late... I missed the mess!

My boyfriend kept swearing it would take several days to fill...... I did get him to sign up around noon.
