I was just wondering if any of you have croosed the peace bridge since the new rules were impemented a few weeks ago? What was your experience? what types of questions? was it tough?.........

Crap new rules. I'm going to have to look them up as this coming may I will be towing across to the states.

We have crossed at the Ambassador and Peace Bridges since the new rules went into effect and weren't asked anything more than what we have in the past, that I recall. Citizenship, where are we going, how long, bringing anything into the US, roll down the back window since they are tinted dark.......

They request ID and since we travel with passports, no problems! I noticed that they ran the passports through a scanner of some sort, but maybe they did that before, I'm usually the passenger in the car so don't see everything being done.

I go over every week for gas and groceries (live 5 min from bridge:cool1: ) - just hand them my driver's license and birth certificate, ask citizenship, where I'm going, how long I'll be and send me on my way. DD just has birth certificate, no problems at all. Haven't seen the need to spend $$$ on passports yet, and hope we won't have to. As of right now, we have until June 2009 to need them, so will keep using drivers license and birth cert.
No worries!!
