Pea pod shopping

Hello all,
Just wondering on your experiences with pea pod. Just placed my first order today, and saved $15.00 with a promo code. How does tipping work. (%)??

I have used them many times...but only if they have promo codes/coupons. The fruit is always the best (always fresh, ripe and never bruised) and the meat is always the best cuts too! The delivery people always ask where they can put the groceries when they come in...very friendly and courteous. I would do all my shopping with them if the sales were good...but I find that once you add shipping cost to the delivery I save more with my double and triple coupons at the actual store...
But when I cant get out or am just plain lazy, I always use Peapod!!!

LOVE...LOVE...LOVE them! I work full time and don't get home until 6pm evenings. I don't want to spend an hour of my time at the grocery store during the weekends. If you have the payment automatically deducted from your checking account you get $1 off the delivery fee. They also have value times or value days. I always pick a 4 hour value window and have them deliver then. My delivery fee only ends up being $5. I don't know about you but my 1 hour of time, gas money and impulse buying would add up to way more than $5. In addition, you can use coupons. You leave them in an envelope with your name and order number on it. You then give it to the driver. They deduct the coupons from my total owed and withdraw that from my checking account after the groceries are delivered. I tip between $3 - $5 depending on how many groceries I have ordered. It is such a time saver to me. They have the same sales as the stores and even have web only specials at times. As the PP mentioned the produce and meats are much fresher because they come directly from the warehouse and haven't been sitting in the store for days. Enjoy!!!!

I also LOVE Peapod! I generally tip the driver about $5. It is so worth it to me (since grocery shopping is my least favorite chore). They will bring the groceries in my house and place them on my kitchen table.

Also, you will notice, if you continue using the service, that each item you order is placed on a master list. This is so convenient as it builds your grocery shopping list for you as you go. The next shopping order you go to place, you can just pick quantities off of your previously placed orders.

I also agree that the fruits and the meats are always fresh and looking good.

They do accept coupons, but the value of the coupons are deducted off of your next order as a credit.
