PDAs - are they allowed?

Good evening everyone. My name is Diane and I lurk onthe DIS more than I post.
We go regularly to Disney and recently my dear Brother in law and his husband have been looking for somewhere to go for a holiday (they are getting too old for Amsterdam and Ibiza). I suggested they think of the Star Wars weekend (they are both mad about sci-fi) and make it part of a holiday to somewhere gay friendly further south eg the Keys/Miami.
But I am a bit out of my depth here. They are really up for the second part but were worried that they might not be able to do the normal PDA (hugging, holding hands you know what I mean), when they are in the parks.
Can you give any advice?

Should be no problem hugging or holding hands, especially on that weekend.

I think it's probably a lot harder for men than for women, but my wife and I have had very few problems, and she's the type that the minute we're in a public location, she needs to paw, hold, hug, and kiss, regardless of the company. The worst we've gotten were some parents using themselves as a shield between us and their children while we held hands in lin in front of them. There's the occasional nasty look, but as a lesbian, I'm kind of used to that. More often than not, people are so engrossed in their own experience that they barely notice.

I'd have even less of a concern over the cast members' reactions- they've all given us great service and made us feel completely unremarkable during the fabulous little celebration they celebrated on our anniversary at Jiko.

wouldnt bother me at all and i'm a straight guy thats openminded. Now if there really getting to the heart of the matter i would tell them to get a room just like anyone else

Good post, I wondered this when I was there as I really didn't notice. "Get a room"....too funny - I haven't used that phrase in a long time.

I've never seen anyone make a fuss about same sex couples that they see in the parks. I see it and move on, it's not a big deal at all. Most people that I notice don't really care, at least I can't tell. If they don't want to see it then turn around or don't look, simple as that. I find it funny that people complain about how much something bothers them, yet they keep looking.

They can do any PDA's a straight couple would be allowed to do in the Park/public. They won't be kicked out for doing them.
