Hi,
I would not normally do this but I guess I just need to share in hopes of facing this situation in a positive manner. My younger sister, aged 31 had been diagnosed with a very rare kidney disease. Many years ago she was told she would have kidney failure and eventually need dialysis and a new kidney. Well, the time has come. Tuesday she will go to the Dr.'s to see if her steroid therapy is helping to control her levels. If not, she will need to be put on dialysis. She is a loving mom of 2 great kids and a great wife to a deadbeat hubby, and a great little sis!! I am very worried about her and have offered a kidney. I will have to be tested to see if she can use mine...but she will eventually need another as this disease can not be cured and targets kidneys. Another sister has also offered hers. Hopefully we will all match. My mom has no idea about how sick my sister is...it is just better that way, and she is going to freak when she finds out we will all share our kidneys. (I guess she is to blame since she taught us all to share so well!!!!) I do have one stipulation about my kidney though.....she must take it to Disney...frequently. I mean, after all I have taken it there every year for the past five years!!!! I live in Indiana, she lives in Florida. There is no excuse for not taking it for a yearly visit....right? (She is not a Disney fan....go figure!) Anyway happy thoughts and pixie dust is what my family is in need of right now. I appreciate all the PD I get for my sis!!! Thanks for letting me vent!!!! Oh, I am also going for an interview on Tuesday as well and could use some good thoughts!!!!! Thanks again for listening!!!!

Prayers and PD for your sister AND your interview. A friend of mine gave her kidney to her brother. Both are doing great!
