PCC 3.0 Photowalk?

Ordering the Sigma 30mm F1.4 before the cruise. I should be able to get some great shots with this prime.

love a fast lens. What ISO speed do you typically shoot at? Do you regularly change it?

It depends on the situation. if indoors I will shoot at 800 and above and f1.8 or 2.0. If outside, 100 at keep it at around f2.8 for closeups and 8.0 for landscapes.

I normally will shoot in Manual or Aperture Priority.

I love shooting with a prime because it forces you to frame/compose your shots.

Adding this to DH's itinerary! He is excited for the PhotoWalk.

One question- the 27th is Pirate Night - the Deck Party starts at 9:45. Is that a good thing or a bad thing?
I guess it could be nice- because most everyone will be up on deck watching the party- so access to other areas should be pretty quiet.
And it is a nice chance to take fireworks shots from sea.

I just wondered if this was part of the plan- or an oversight?
Just throwing it out there...

Sounds good. Looks like I'm just going to have to crank up the ISO setting for my lens. :smoking:

You will love the shallow depth of field shots. If I am up lose, I will shoot at f2.8 and f1.8 for the far away shots and dark ride shots. The 50mm is such a fun lens!!

Jeff, stay away from the Russians on the outside of Hara arena. They might have some Nikon gear, but it is more than likely "hot." They also have a bunch of Cisco gear.

Didn't see them. The only Nikon gear I did see was one guy who is always there with old film versions. Thanks for the warning though!

Just bought my new monopod. I'm as set as I can be for 3.0.

Just a reminder if your interested in doing an early photo walk on embarkation day we will meet in front of the Walt Disney theater marquee at 200pm (again if your interested in taking daytime photos). At 200pm the walk will begin. In this tour I hope to visit all the children areas, spa, and many many others.

Only a couple of weeks left. Looking forward to this!!!!
