Looking at Kathy's cruise pictures, I was just wondering if other non-DIS'ers knew or noticed what was going on with the PCC events or groups or anything? Did they know there was a Jodi Benson concert or wonder why 600 people were taking the group picture at Castaway or all the FE stuff and door decorations? I know it's a big ship, but it seems like 600 DIS'ers would be noticeable. :teeth:

Some us us were "noticeable", but not all 600.
I do not think there were 600 people in the photo on Castaway Cay.
I do not think 600 people all wore their DIS lanyards all the time.
I know I did not see or meet anywhere near 600 DISers.

Just my thoughts...

Seems like everywhere I went I saw people from our group.

I did hear stories from folks who were asked what the lanyards were all about. And when I was 'working the line' for the Jodi Benson concert a lot of folks stopped and asked what was going on. I don't think anyone would necessarily recognize Jodi if they just saw her on the ship - but the fact that we had a huge line of people waiting for her autograph seemed to spark some interest.

I helped hand-out and explain the drink coupons at the private BBQ on Castaway Cay and some people did ask about our group and what it was all about.

I have a feeling most folks just went about their business enjoying their cruise with their families.

So how many Disers did you meet?
What number of the 600 Disers wore their lanyards?
Did the number that did wear them, wear them 24 hours a day?
How often did you wear your lanyard?
Did you introduce yourself to everyone wearing a lanyard?
Have you counted the people in the photograph?
How many were wearing lanyards?

At first I thought you were answering by way of a Dr Suess-like poem. Sorry if I was off in saying 600, I guess I should have said "very large group of unknown number."

I would have been one of the nosey ones not just going about my business. Probably though because I most definitely would have reconized Jodi if I saw her on the ship.

Snarktastic.

I met a few people who asked about the lanyards and asked what the group was about. So I explained about the podcast and how this trip was a chance for friends to meet up and hang out together. Oh and here is the web address if you care to listen and check out the boards.

But, in all honesty, it was the door decorations that most people asked about. The non-decorating people asked why it was done and if a person had to decorate. I told them that it was for fun, made the halls more colorful and no a person did not have to decorate their door. The same guy just smiled and said he wanted to decorate his door on his next cruise because it just thought it was really a neat idea.

No, I didn't count the people in the picture, but it didn't look like 600 people to me, but very well could have been. :confused3 And I recognized a lot of Disers that didn't wear their lanyard all the time. I didn't wear mine all the time.

I also met Disers who didn't wear their lanyards because they just wanted to wear them for the events. Of course we were in the hot tub when I met them and I don't remember the lanyards being water proof....:lmao: But these Disers just wanted to join the fun and just lurk on the boards.

Thanks Melissa. :thumbsup2 From some of the pictures of the cool doors I saw, I can see where they would draw attention.

So when is your picture of PCC 2.0 going to be done to add to your claim to fame? :teeth:

Oh geez....I am not sure if I can draw 600 cruisers on a cruise ship. :lmao:

I guess I will have to think of a PCC 2.0 picture???

However, I did draw a picture for my FE group. Does that count??? :confused3

You and others could just pretend the picture is of yourself. Just don't look at the names on the shirts. :lmao:

I bumped into a few people who asked about our group. Wondered who we were, where were we from, etc, etc?

I gave the standard speel.....We're from Pocatello, ID and we're potato growers.

Oh funny! :teeth:

I still remember when you & I were chatting outside your door and the guy across the way looked at his blank door and your all-decked-out door, and said that one could tell the first-time cruisers and the experienced ones. ;)

I had several people ask me about the lanyards...mostly in or waiting for the elevators....I gave them a quick run down.

I did have 1 party ask me who it was that we got the autograph for (Jodi) and what that was all about...again I referred them to WDWInfo.com

I did wear my lanyard all the time, except for dinner.

I should have said that we were visiting adventurers from Sandusky Ohio here to compete for the Balderdash Cup. ;)
