pc wallpaper backgrounds free??

Where is a good site to get free wallpaper/background pics for your pc? I dont want spyware/adware or viruses of course, so Im a little leery of just going with whatever . Ive seen some really cute things out there though, animated, beach scenes, etc...What site have you used that you like? Thanks!

I haven't found anything like that, that is free, and reputable. Someone else may have. What I usually do is have a picture of the kids, the dogs or my favorite band as my wallpaper screen.

I will say that I did at one time try using the Calvin & Hobbes animated dancing for a screen saver. It was just a memory hog. Slowed down the pc. The ones that are included with windows, seem to be the best and use the least resources.

There is one site, where it's all free and they are created and uploaded by these people. I would think they are vetted to be spyware/virus free. It's deviant art. There are some nice ones in there. It's been a while since I've looked.

Great, thanks so much! I just got a new computer and am not downloading anything I think even MAY slow it down. Glad I asked. I will check out the sites Mentioned-disney ones sound great

They are high res photos from users, that you just right click and save to your pc, no downloading, etc. There is a menu on the left of all the different categories to search.

You may have to register, it has been so long I forget, but it is free.
