So i am thinking about getting a laptop instead of another desk computer. so i was wondering i have grown up with a PC all my life, but someone told me macs are sooo much better, but are they more complicated? also for the mac do they still carry and sell the old macbook white (the all white one)?

PC. It's just what I've always used, I have no interesting in Mac. Especially because their commercials are so damn cocky.

Macs are also super expensive.

Macs are visually appealing to me. They look beautiful and I like their design.
I however just can't used to the way they function.

I much prefer to use a pc, but I hate Vista with a burning flaming passion.

I'll probably get a mac in a few years, but I odn't think they're really worth any more than a pc.

I have a Mac Book Pro and I used the Mac OS for a while. I liked it, it was easy and VERY pretty. But I just couldnt get used to it! So I used Boot Camp (Splits the hard drive in half, making one side Mac and one side PC) Ive been just using the PC side most. Its a great little machine though. Its fast, durable (Dropped it a couple times not to mention spilled alcohol all over the key board) and the customer service (Not at the Mac store, a smaller self owned store) is simply STUNNING. By far miles ahead of my crappy Alienware.

I learned pretty much everything I knew about computers from 1st-6th grade on Macs, but I had a PC at home, so I became very comfortable with both computers. Right now, we've got a PC, but I use Macs at school for graphics class. I have to say that using a Mac took a little getting used to after not having touched one for three years, but they're still pretty easy to figure out if you take the time to learn them. I like them a lot better because I think they're not only visually pleasing, but I like how the main screen is set up.

However, I think I'm getting an HP tablet for a laptop, but I think I'm going to have a computer friend of mine put OSX (a Mac operating system) on it for me.

Mac's are far better in my experience.
I've tried a bunch of different PC's but they have all annoyed and disappointed me.
Not to mention the fact that they break all over the place.
My dad's PC broke three different times.

Macs for sure.
I've had both, but Macs are by far my favorite. I'm writing this from my Mac laptop at college!
Yes they still sell the Macbook white :)

I absolutely hate my PC. They are so unreliable. I plan on getting a mac book for when I go off to college later this year.

Mac.
I have a Mac Mini right now, but I'm getting a Macbook in a couple of months for college.

I grew up using both because we had mac laptops for school and a pc at home. I personally like the mac look better and in general (I did have some problems with the older models) the MacBook is much better and more reliable than any PC we have (Both mum and dad are seriously considering switching to Macs for their next computers). The only real difference that most people notice is everything is opposite to pcs (buttons are on the left on macs and right on pcs) and there is no right click button so its just control+click instead. Also in my expierece the main programs you use are word (and office), itunes and internet and all those can be used on mac, and if that still doesn't feel right you can always run vista on them. Also in the end mac's are so much more fun because they have all this cool stuff on them (imovie, photobooth, garage band etc) that pc's don't have and its fun to much around with when you're bored.

It's mostly the right cick that bothers me. But the answer to that is a Mighty Mouse of course lol. I hate the copy and paste. I tried like twenty minutes trying to figure it out in first period.. and all it was was apple+c.
Like come on?! There' is a control button, why not just ceep the crtl+c?

My current issue with Macs is MSN. My friend has a mac now, and he can't use his Isight on MSN, and I can't use my webcam for him to view. It's annoying because, I obviously don't have Ichat, and he won't install aim.
I also can't nudge him, and that gives me less ways to annoy him.

But otherwise, they're beautiful and someday I will probably convert. I think everyones going in that direction anyways. But trust me, when I convert, I will feel like I betrayed Bill Gates.

I have a PC because that's what my parents bought me.

But if I could've chosen, I'd probably had gone with the Mac.

i have a pc coz it was cheaper. but macs dont get viruses. my computer-nerd friend told me its coz no one knows the codes (or encrypting or whatever it is) for macs but everyone knows it for pc's
