@#$%$#&@!!! PBS

INGREDIENTS:
8 seeded, chopped roma (plum) tomatoes
5 leaves chopped fresh basil
2 cloves minced garlic
1 pinch dried oregano
1 dash crushed red pepper
1 pinch salt
1 pinch ground black pepper
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 (1 pound) loaf French or Italian-style bread

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

DIRECTIONS:
Preheat the broiler.
In a mixing bowl, combine the tomatoes, basil, garlic, oregano, red pepper, salt, pepper and olive oil. Use more olive oil, if necessary, to coat the entire mixture. Allow the mixture to sit for 10 minutes.
Slice the bread. On a baking sheet, arrange the slices in a single layer. Brown both sides of the bread slightly in the oven. Remove the slices from the oven. Spread the tomato mixture on the slices. Broil 2 to 3 minutes, or until the mixture is hot but not cooked.

With a small bit of research on your internet, I've found an alternative to our pumpkin juice is a mixture of 1 part apple juice to 2 parts pineapple juice, with or without a dab or two of coloring is quite close...

I am also very fond of your gummy worms. Mmmm, chewy. Harry still prefers the Mars bars here, but you do have some brilliant confections there. We've better chocolate, but you do make some very nice sweet stuff. Except the gummy spiders. Those still scare me.

What kind would you like?

I also recommend Costco. They have large boxes of Quiche and mixed boxes of h'os d'oevers.

Got any fun ones for the kids to eat while watching PBS?

Orange Sipper Using a knife or the tip of a potato peeler, poke a hole about one third of the way through an orange. Insert a plastic straw into the hole. When thirsty, suck the orange juice out of the orange. (You may need to "massage" the orange)

Cool variation on Ants on a Log. We've got one of those Pampered Chef Apple Corer/Slicers. It turns it into a big spiral. I bet you could do this and open a few layers up and jam in a little bit of peanut butter and raisins. "Bugs in an Apple". :)

Ooo I was going to say ants on a log.

There's something about a forest, something with cauliflower, broccli, mushrooms and ranch dressing.

Just look for posts started by TheOtherVillianess. She tends to have her threads hijacked. I hijacked one with household hints. I think this is the second food related hijack.
