hi i just booked a garden view room i was strongly debating over my room type should i change it. will we like it 4 adults going. i booked a garden view smoking west wing. do you think i have a good chance at my request or should i switch to a deluxe room cause most are by the pools. i booked agarden view aph rate for 259 for 2 nites . bay was 279 and deluxe 299. after that were off to the hard rock for 2 nites. :cool1: is this a good rate.

I wasn't sure how to vote because my favorite room is a deluxe bay view. I'm not sure how many of these are available at PBH, but we loved our room. We could see the water taxi coming and by the time we went downstairs and on to the plaza, the boat was there. It was great. The room was beautlful - and that bathroom - Oy!

With 4 adults I would go with the deluxe. And if you can get bayview - even better.

You will have more room and a huge bathroom with separate shower and tub.

I voted to keep the garden view. There's a chance that you will receive a free upgrade to a deluxe room. We received a free upgrade on our trip in December.

I prefer the bay view at PBH and think it is well worth the additional $20 per night. The vast majority of balconies at PBH are in bay view rooms if that influences your decision at all. Just about every bay view room on the top floor of the east wing comes with a balcony. You could always keep the garden view and hope for an upgrade to a bay view or deluxe. PBH wins the award for the best chance of being upgraded. I have never stayed in a standard garden or bay view there. Deluxe room upgrade twice and the other times they gave us a Villa or Hospitality suite.

I have never stayed in a GV or BV there, but the Deluxe is nice. One thing to consider with 4 adults though is that, although the bathroom is gorgeous, it is all in one room. Yes, you have a separate shower and tub, but both sinks are inside the bathroom, which may make it difficult for the 4 of you to get ready at the same time. There is no sink outside the bathroom at all, which would make it easier to for someone to at least brush his or her teeth while someone else is doing business. Trust me, only one person in the bathroom at a time in the PBH Deluxe (unless you have no shame in front of your roomies). There is no privacy in there. I don't know if the GV or BV rooms are the same (or even if it makes a difference to you at all, which is probably the case, but Mike and I very particular about this for some reason. Admittedly, we're odd this way. :) ).

I would go with the Bayview. only because I like to watch the water taxi coming in. I've been going to the PBH for years and I never been upgraded.

We were not upgraded & did not receive a balcony as requested but bayview was great! We were later told that there were more rooms w/ 2 queens that had a balcony (we had requested & received a king room) & we checked in quite late (~ 8:30 pm) because we had spent the day at WDW (had not been to MGM, so we went there that afternoon & early evening).

I think as a previous post stated, you might try for a bayview deluxe & then try to check in as early as possible (even if your room isn't ready) to have a better chance of getting your exact requests.
