Hello, all. I'm looking for any and all advice
My wife has pretty bad allergies to feathers and is also somewhat prone to asthmatic problems. While neither of us have any experience with feather pillows, I assume that these could translate into big problems for us. (I'm also assuming that real feather are still used in feather pillows). I had heard that PBH uses feather pillows, so I contacted a hotel customer service rep aware of our situation. He said that he would make a notation on the reservations stating that we were "requesting" foam pillows. I indicated that it was a medical situation and more important than just a simple preference on our part. He certainly seemed to understand and said that they would definitely switch out the pillows for us.
Now, I have heard a lot of wonderful things about the PBH and HRH but I know that things like this can also slip through the cracks. We will be arriving late on our first day at PBH and I'm worried that housekeeping will be unavailable to do anything if somebody forgets.
Do you know of anybody who has made this type of request at either PBH or HRH? I intend to place a reminder phone call at PBH on the day prior to our arrival but does anybody have any other suggestions for what we should do? As a back-up plan, does anybody know of any good all-night pillow stores in the Central Florida area?
