I ordered Disney merchandise from LaughingPlaceStore.com. I payed with Paypal. Paypal is linked to my credit card but not my bank account.

The Paypal charge appears on my credit card statement, for the date that I placed the order.

I never received the item.

If I tell LaugingPlaceStore to cancel the order, what happens to my refund? Will I get the refund on my credit card statement?

Or do I need to have Paypal linked to a bank account in order to get a refund?

the refund goes to the method of payment you used, if you used a CC you will get a credit on your CC. You should dispute it quickly tho, there is a time limit on how long you can wait.

Have you contact LaughingPlace about it? I think this is the same place I ordered from and it was very slow. But I did get my merchandise (eventually)

if they refund through paypal they will refund it to the original form of payment. I buy from eloquii.com and pay through paypal and they even refunded money I had used from my paypal balance to the credit card. I paid them from a partial paypal balance and the rest on a credit card and when I returned the items they refunded the full amount to the credit card. It was strange but I was fine with it.

I haven't done anything yet -- I wanted advice first on how the refund works. But since it's been a month and there's no sign that they are shipping my order, I don't think I'm going to wait anymore.

send them an email to get a status of the order.
If they do not respond in 3-5 days, go to paypal and file a dispute.
you should get a response in 24 hours.
If they do not respond (either with a refund or an explanation) paypal will refund your method of payment .

This is not quite the same, but I bought something off eBay and the seller sent the item with delivery confirmation. However, the item never came. Do I have a leg to stand on? Is there any hope for me? I don't know if the mailman delivered to the wrong house, or it got stolen or what? But does PayPal or my credit card used for PayPal offer any help or is too bad, so sad?

What does the DC number say? If it says it has been delivered you need to contact your local mail carrier and/or post office and let them know you have never received it. If the DC is not showing it was delivered, contact your seller and have them work on it. Don't file a dispute until you at least give your seller the opportunity to fix the issue.

To both of the posters with questions:

Both of you should contact the sellers.. give them 2-3 days and if you do not hear back file a dispute with paypal RIGHT AWAY. There is a time limit on this. Paypal will then attempt to contact the seller. If they do not receive response within a couple of days they will refund your money and deal with the seller on their own.

Check the status on the delivery. You can also file a complaint with the post office. If the item has been delivered I suggest you and the seller BOTH file a complaint.

Unfortunately.. this happens to me A LOT. :confused3
