Soliciting comments from DVC members who occassionally rent out their points and accept payment via paypal. In your opinion are there any risks of a DVC member recieving rental payment via paypal?

Can the payee (renter) somehow reverse this payment and leave the
member without recourse?

Any comments and input is appreciated.

Thanks in advance, and I apologize if this has already been addressed in a different thread somewhere.

Yes there are aggravations and risks and it varies with the type of account you have. For a basic account, you can only receive $500 in a month. You can only receive 5 CC payments in a year. For CC payments you pay a fairly high fee and no fee for the other payments. If you have a premier or a business account, you pay a lower fee but pay a fee on every payment CC or not. A person could dispute the services provided and paypal could recoup the differences from you.

Once the money posts to your account it's yours. The other party could file a complaint with PayPal but with the proper documentation I doubt if they would prevail.
