payment question--booking through disney

Okay I think I have this figured out correctly but I want to make sure! We are going to book our trip directly through Disney. So, as far as payment goes: when you book, a $200 deposit is required. The total amount is due 45 days before your vacation begins. Before that 45 days, you can continue making payments, in any amount over $20, at any time. Is this all correct?

I think (I hope) I have that first part right, but now I have another question that I'm really not sure at all about. Our party is 6 adults. If some of the others want to put their portion of the payment on their own credit card, can I give them my account login info and the confirmation number and have them add their card on there and do that? Or do all payments need to come from a card with my name on it (since I'm the one who will be booking)? Thanks!!

Assuming you are booking a package (eg room and tickets or AP room and dinning) the deposit is $200. If you are booking more than one room, then you may have to pay two deposits, different people have different results in this scenario. If you are booking a room only (no tickets and/or no dinning w/ an AP room) then the deposit is one night's room rate for each room and the deadline for paying is different. I believe when you pay online you can enter the card information as you pay, so others should be able to log on to make payments, or they can call and pay on the phone.

As the pp said, the deposit and final payment is dependent on whether it's a package or room only. If you are booking a package, you have everything correct ($200 deposit, with balance due 45 days prior to arrival). For room only, a deposit of 1 night's room rate + tax is required, with balance due at check in. To answer your question about payments.....any cc can be used for payment, whether it's your's or someone else's....or a combination of several different ones. As long as the others have your log in information and confirmation number, they can make payments online with their own cc. For room only payments, those have to be done by phone, requiring the confirmation number as well as knowing the address/phone number the ressie was booked under. HTH :).

Okay one more question! DH and I will have annual passes, so only 4 members of our party will be buying tickets. Probably not going to do the dining plan. If our whole party doesn't buy tickets, does it still count as a package, or do we have to book room-only and buy the tix separately?

For a package, everyone in the room must get the same tickets. However, if you decide to get the DDP, you can book an AP + Dine package and not have the required ticket purchase for everyone in the room. Otherwise, it would be best to book room only since 2 of you already have APs and everyone else can buy their tickets separately ;).

Thanks :thumbsup2 I want to call and book soon, so I want to know about how much I'll need for the deposit. I think I'm all set! :goodvibes
