payment and cancellation policy for April 2023

I havent been on a disney cruise since I was a kid in the early 2000s. But now that I have my only family we are looking at doing at Disney Cruise April 2023. Only issue is DH work will not give him the okay for time off until January next year, but I do want to get this trip booked.

I'm having a difficult time finding the cancellation policy as well as the dates that payments have to be made. Or is it payment all up front? Everything i read it says for cruises up until 2022.

The "standard" cancellation fees are in the Cruise Cancellation Fees section of the US Terms and Conditions here on the Disney Cruise website. (Sections for UK residents and residents of other countries are also on the site.)

Deposits for Concierge suites are non-refundable. Restricted fares (typically offered a few months before a cruise at a substantial discount) require full payment upfront. For all other cruises, a deposit that is typically 20% of the fare is required in advance, but is fully refundable until the final payment date, which is when cancellation fees begin.
For cruises of up to 5 days, cancellation fees begin 89 days before sailing.
For cruises of 6 days or more, cancellations fees begin 119 days before sailing.
(For cruises through September 30, 2022, this policy has been adjusted so the final payment date when fees start is later.)

So, you could book a cruise (not in Concierge) of up to 5 days for April and be able to cancel without penalty in January, though if the cruise is early April and the decision comes in late January that may not work.
