Buying a Target GC from cardpool at (example only) 5% off and then using it on Target's website to purchase Disney GCs for another 5% off, you'll save 10% off of the face value of the Disney GCs. That adds up to a nice chunk of savings when you're spending thousands of dollars on your vacation.

Ok I get it now. So you are actually buying the target cards from carpool to use to buy Disney cards. Sounds great. Thank you for the tips!

Is it possible to pay my balance using gift cards? I was planning to go to Sams club and buy the 3 pack discounted to save about $155. Is there a limit on how many cards I can use?

I think you can go to disneygiftcard.com and combine amounts up to $1000 per gift card. So 20 $50 cards onto a single gift card. I used 6 different ones last year but had to call in to pay.

So Cardpool is legit? Do you know if walmart giftcards work on Samsclub.com?

We bought a ton of gift cards at Target when they had the awesome deal a few months back ($5 target gift card when purchasing 2 $25 Disney gift cards, plus used our red card for an additional 5% savings). I used those gift cards to fund a disney vacation account, which gives you a $20 Disney gift card for every $1,000. I'd recommend opening a disney vacation account and depositing your gift cards there.

If you live near a Kroger you can buy Disney gift cards and earn 2X on fuel points. You receive .10 off a gallon of gas for every 100 points up to 35 gallons. This equates to a 7% savings if you can get the whole 35 gallons of gas. Sometimes, like this past week (week before and weekend of Easter) you can get 4X fuel points. That's a 14% savings. Just remember it only works if you can get the full 35 gallons. We have to take 2 cars when getting the gas.

Thanks for the advice about the GC's, I will use the cards and pay off my charges before the end of the trip. I thought the resort automatically charged your credit card each time you say charge to the room, so good to know you can pay it off on the last eve of your stay. So much easier, then using a GC at every restaurant and shopping place!

Yes, you can pay the balance of your room only ressie with as many gift cards as you want. Just give them to the CM when you check in and they will apply them to your balance until the bill is paid. Did this exact thing in December.

I finished paying my package with gift cards last week, super simple but time consuming to consolidate the balances. I ended up with 4 gift cards and used those to pay using the website. It was easy and totally worth the savings ($370 )

I agree! It is super easy and I recommend it to anyone, thinking about going this route to pay their trip off! Any amount of savings helps and is so worth it. I combined over $1,600 worth of gift cards from Sam's a couple of weeks ago and merged them all to 2 cards. Emailed my TA, and trip was paid off. Love it!

We are also stacking up Target and Sam's gift cards and merging them also, so we will pay for all our food during our trip.. TS, QS and any snacks. Any gift cards I got as gifts for my birthday and christmas, I merged for souvenirs for my trip. So I will have 2 cards on me when I go - 1 for all food and 1 for shopping.
