Has anyone paid at either the sit-down or counter service restaurants using Disney gift cards? I have a bunch of them for $25 each and I've heard it's no problem but I just want to make sure. If our food comes to, say, $30 would we be able to pay with two $25 gift cards and just throw one out afterward and have the extra money left on the other? I've never used them in the parks before so I'm just looking for some info. Thank you!

Yes! Super easy. You can use them to pay for the meal and the tip. Just as easy as using a credit card with less guilt!

just as bbangel said, easy-breezy.

we've used them during many WDW trips (i don't like coming home to large CC bills, so put money on a GC every week or so).

:)

Thank you so much, I appreciate the info!

Another option to consider - if you are staying on-site, you can put those gift cards down as a deposit to enable room charging on your KTTW card. That way you wouldn't have multiple gift cards to keep track of.

If you're not staying on-site, be sure to mark your various gift cards with a Sharpie so you can identify which one is which, and keep receipts from your purchases so you can check the balances.
